Singer viewed by millions on YouTube signs for LA label with just one dream
From her Sutton Coldfield bedroom to the big time, teenager Vanna Rainelle hopes to take her career to the top
A teenage barmaid and singer who has had more than 50 million YouTube views has signed with a US record label and talent agency. Vanna Rainelle, from Streetly, has been singing since she was 12.
Now 19, she went viral on YouTube with her version of Russian artist Erika Lundmoenâs song YAD. Vanna, whose real name is Savannah, shot to online fame with her own lyrics to Erikaâs music which she posted when she was 17 in March 2023.
The song has scored 58 million views and counting on YouTube â compared to Erikaâs original's 2.8 million. Vanna also has a 200,000-plus following on TikTok where she posts her songs and almost two million monthly listeners on Spotify.

'I recorded it in my bedroom and it's had 58 million views on YouTube'But three or four nights a week Vanna is seen behind the bar at a pub near Aldridge â escaping her bedroom where all her music has been created. Now the teenager has signed a seven-record deal with US record and talent firm, Undercurrent Entertainment based in the Venice area of Los Angeles.
On her viral hit YAD, Vanna said: âA lot of foreign countries listen to English music. This one [YAD] is a song a lot of English people have written lyrics to.
âI wrote and recorded it when I was 17, early in 2023. It got a reaction straight away. Itâs had 58 million views on YouTube. I used copyright free material for the videos. And I recorded it in my bedroom.â
The YAD song has been used by influencer Kylie Jenner, part of the Kardashians, and Tate McRae, one of her âfavouriteâ artists. Both used it in their own TikTok posts,
Vanna said she had always been âreally passionateâ about music but did not see it as a career. She played the piano growing up but uses other instrumentals on her songs
She said: âI never started out doing it professionally. I used to do them in my bedroom at home. When I posted my music on TikTok, I didnât think about doing it professionally and to get streams. I did it because I loved it.
âGrowing up I have realised itâs always been my coping mechanism. Amy time I go out and thereâs karaoke available I am always on the stage.â

Vanna said she listened to a lot of music but her favourite artists were American R&B singer, Miguel, Canadian singer-songwriter McRae, fellow Canadian artist, The Weeknd and dark pop artist, Nessa Barrett.
'I want to make music you can blast out of the window'She hopes to hit the heights like her idols, singing live and going on tour. Vanna said: âMy music is dark R&B or dark pop, with cord progressions using the minor cords. I want to make music you can blast out of the window.
âI think one of the most rewarding things for me is knowing people listen to my music and resonate with it. I would like to keep getting as many songs out as I can and really figure out my sound. I write songs every day. They just come to me. And I record them every day.
âOne day I would love to have shows and sell out arenas and be in the same room as the people that listen to my music. I mainly want to make music that makes people feel something.
Vanna Rainelle has been recording music at home in her bedroom - but after one of her songs YAD took off on YouTube she has now signed a record deal with LA label UndercurrentâUndercurrent has actors, dancers and influencers and musicians. We had a deal agreed to do seven songs together. Iâm currently on my fifth song with them. All original songs. Sides for YAD.
âI do all the writing myself and come up with all the melodies. I record all the harmonies and then send demos of the songs to my label. Then they will say this one is really good and I will work on it.
âI think at the minute itâs love songs, heartbreak, I would like to like to do songs on self-development, self-growth and self-image. I want to be able to have a substantial number of songs which I would be able to perform live.

I used to do them in my bedroom at home. The first video I did, I recorded songs in Sutton Park. I am thinking of extending my deal with them.â
Her latest song Confess, has just been released. Vanna said: âIt's about desire for someone. My label gives me a budget to pay for producers.
âWhen I have worked with it I send it to my label and they digitally release it across the platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Amazon Music. Confess had 20,000 streams on Spotify in a few days. The most I have had so far.â
She has a âcolabâ coming out on Valentine's Day with Lindsxy Mesenberg, from Ohio. She aid: âWe realised we are using similar instrumentals. So we are working on a song.â
Vanna Rainelle visited Sutton Park to record one of her music videos'The reason I tend bars - I want to get out of the house!'And why does Vanna sill work as behind a bar? She said: âIâm comfortable doing all my music work at home but I want to get out. I live with my mum, dad and sister â if I didnât do that I would be in my bedroom making music.
âIâm 100 per cent grateful for where Iâm at now. Iâm very fortunate to be in the position I am, where I can do it for work. If I could say one thing I would definitely be playing a concert. Being able to sing my songs with people singing them back to me.
âI think I would love to see it progress. My biggest passion in my whole life is music. I think this is what I was put on Earth to do.â
