Six bombshell allegations as Gino D'Acampo accused of 'inappropriate behaviour'
Gino D'Acampo has been accused of sexually inappropriate behaviour by dozens of people over a period spanning more than 12 years
Gino D'Acampo, the TV chef famed for his appearances on This Morning and as host of Family Fortunes, has been accused of 'sexually inappropriate behaviour' over a period spanning more than 12 years.
The allegations, described as "unacceptable, distressing and horrendous", have emerged from dozens of individuals recounting their experiences with him, reports the Mirror.
Gino has "firmly denied" these claims, expressing that they are "deeply upsetting". An investigation by ITV News has brought forth allegations from people who claim to have worked with Gino. Here's a look at six explosive revelations from the report...
Crude sex act
One woman, identified as Hannah to safeguard her identity, told investigators about an incident in 2011 where she was subjected to crude remarks from Gino. She alleges that D'Acampo expressed a desire to engage in a vulgar sexual act with her against the kitchen counter. According to Hannah, crew members laughed off his comment, but she noticed their "shock" and "horror".
She claims his alleged behaviour made her feel "very, very, very small".
Gino D'Acampo (Image: Barcroft Media via Getty Images)Speaking to ITV News Correspondent Sejal Karia, Hannah added: "I definitely saw it as some kind of power play. The very act of what he said was aggressive. He did not think that was an inappropriate thing to say to me."
In response to the allegations, Gino's lawyers stated: "This allegation from almost 15 years ago has never, until now via a media request for comment, been raised or put to Mr D'Acampo. He does not recall it, nor accept that this happened. Mr D'Acampo is horrified to be accused of 'power play' and an 'aggressive act'. He emphatically and unequivocally denies these allegations."
'Small' penis
Another woman came forward with a separate claim, stating that Gino allegedly answered the door in his boxer shorts and jumped onto the bed, striking a suggestive pose. She claimed that she felt "disgusted" after being forced to sit there and look at him, and that he made a comment about his penis, saying: "It's only small."
The TV host has firmly denied the accusationsGino's lawyers vehemently denied these allegations, stating: "Mr D'Acampo categorically denies these allegations of inappropriate sexual behaviour. To his knowledge, no such allegations have been made against him in relation to his time on Gino's Italian Express and this is the first time, six years later, he has been informed of these alleged incidents, and he does not accept them, not least because some of this is considered by Mr D'Acampo to be a fabricated work of fiction."
Ice cream demand
Gino D'Acampo has been accused of making inappropriate comments to a junior staff member, allegedly telling them he would "f**k" their girlfriend if they didn't fetch him an ice cream during filming. In response to these allegations, his legal team stated: "Mr D'Acampo is mortified to be accused of saying inappropriate words to a junior member of staff on Gino's Italian Express. He does not recall this incident at all, and the words alleged are absolutely not ones that he would say."
On screen and off screen
A spokesperson for Objective Media Group confirmed that when concerns were raised, Gino was "spoken to about the differences between on-screen character material and behaviour off screen with members of the team". Further accusations include Gino allegedly saying: "When are we all going to get drunk and have sex together?" to production team members.
'Felt like f******'
Another woman claimed that in 2018, while filming Gordon, Gino and Fred's Road Trip, Gino made sexually explicit remarks, stating: "Without saying hello, good morning - he just announced loudly that he felt like f****** that morning. Yeah, 'I really feel like a s*** this morning'. And off he went."

Additional allegations from the same year and show involve Gino supposedly commenting on a young female colleague's breasts, allegedly saying: "Shouldn't we be talking about her t***, they're perfect, they're like a mouthful."
Gino D'Acampo response
Gino firmly denied any wrongdoing in a statement to ITV News, saying: "I have been told by ITN news that allegations have been made about me acting inappropriately, some dating back over ten years ago. I have never been made aware of these matters previously and the allegations are firmly denied. I would not do anything that I thought would upset or distress anyone. This is simply not in my nature. I do not recognise the version of events being put to me.
Fred Sirieix, Gordon Ramsay and Gino D'Acampo"Not only have these allegations never been raised with me before, I have been repeatedly supported by executives at the highest level and was commissioned on prime-time programmes during the period in which it is now suggested I was acting inappropriately. I am a father, husband and have worked with well over 1,500 people on around 80 productions in my career, which I have been so proud of. I take such matters extremely seriously and the suggestion that I have acted in an improper way against is deeply upsetting."
