Actor Song Joong-ki shared details about his family life in Italy
AdvertisementOn the 4th episode of JTBCâs entertainment show âPlease Take Care of My Refrigerator since 2014âł (hereafter referred to as âPlease Take Care of My Refrigeratorâ), which aired on January 12, a cooking battle between star chefs unfolded using ingredients from Song Joong-kiâs refrigerator, which was filled with Italian ingredients.
When asked âDo you spend half the year in Italy? Where do you live there?â, he responded, âI live in the Tuscany area. I work in Korea, but I live in Italy with my family.â
Later, when olive oil was mentioned among the ingredients, Song Joong-ki proudly revealed, âWhen Iâm in Italy, I eat olive oil extracted directly from olive trees in our garden.â This revelation caught everyoneâs attention.
When surprised by the mention of olive trees, the hosts asked, âYou have olive trees?â Song Joong-ki replied, âWe have a few. Just two months ago, our neighbor helped us extract the oil. Using oil from our own trees feels fulfilling and gives a warm feeling throughout the year.â
Besides, Song Joong-ki shared insights into his parenting life. He mentioned that he had personally bathed his son every day for 200 days.

When asked about his dreams for activities with his children, he replied, âI want to share my favorite sports with them, take them to baseball games, and wear matching uniforms.â

In response to the report, Lee Chae Min's agency GOLDMEDALIST confirmed, Lee Chae Min received an offer [to star in] 'The Tyrant's Chef' and is reviewing the offer positively.
âThe Tyrantâs Chefâ tells the story of a chef who, at the peak of her career, time travels to the past. There, she meets a king known as the worst tyrant, but also the ultimate gourmet. The drama will be directed by Jang Tae Yoo, who has previously helmed hit dramas such as âMy Love from the Star,â âLovers of the Red Sky,â and âKnight Flower.â
Previously, Girlsâ Generationâs YoonA was offered the role of the tyrantâs chef, while Park Sung Hoon was in talks to play the male lead. However, in late December, Park Sung Hoon was embroiled in a controversy that led to the decision to step down from the drama, despite multiple apologies from the actor and his agency.
After leaving a strong impression in tvN's hit drama Crash Course in Romance, Lee Chae Min landed the lead role in the Netflix original series Hierarchy. This year, he is also set to star as the main character in MBC's upcoming Friday-Saturday drama Bunny and the Boys.
