St. Vincent reveals she has wife and daughter during Grammys award speech: âWeâve kept it under wraps"

St. Vincent revealed that she is married and has a daughter at the 2025 Grammy Awards last night (February 2).
The singer-songwriter picked up three awards during the ceremony, including Best Alternative Music Album for âAll Born Screamingâ, Best Alternative Music Performance with âFleaâ and Best Rock Song for âBroken Manâ.
During her acceptance speech for Best Rock Song, she thanked her âbeautiful family â my wife Leah and our beautiful daughter.â
Speaking to reporters backstage, Annie Clark elaborated on her recent marriage and child via The Hollywood Reporter.

âWeâve kept it under wraps,â she said, while also joking âthe child is young, just to be clear, the child is young,â and she hadnât been harbouring a secret for years.
St. Vincent also spoke out about this yearâs LGBTQ nominees, adding: âThere have always been queer people in the history of the world and especially in music, and so I think thereâs a bunch of queer people celebrated this year especially. And thatâs great, of course itâs great. Empathy and humanity, letâs go.â

Other winners on the night included Beyoncé, who won the coveted Album Of The Year gong at the 67th ceremony in LA.
Kendrick Lamar walked away as the biggest winner, clinching five awards including Record of The Year and Song Of The Year for âNot Like Usâ. He also took home the Grammys for Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song for âNot Like Usâ, which also won Best Music Video.
Elsewhere in the show, Shakira dedicated her award to her âimmigrant brothers and sistersâ.

Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars also performed a touching tribute to Los Angeles in the wake of the devastating wildfires earlier this year. Stevie Wonder also led a tribute to the late Quincy Jones alongside Janelle Monáe, which was introduced by Will Smith. You can see a list of the winners in full here.
In other news, St. Vincent recently joined the surviving members of Nirvana â Krist Novoselic, Dave Grohl and Pat Smear, for the LA fires benefit concert FireAid. The trio performed Nirvana âBreedâ with Clark on vocals.
