Kim Ji Eun Takes Part In A High-Stakes Gamble In Upcoming Drama âCheck In Hanyangâ
Channel Aâs upcoming drama âCheck in Hanyangâ has unveiled new stills featuring Kim Ji Eun!
Set in the Joseon era, âCheck in Hanyangâ is a romance drama about youths who become âinternsâ at Yongcheonru, the grandest inn in all of Joseon. Bae In Hyuk will star as Lee Eun Ho, a prince who is secretly hiding his identity, while Kim Ji Eun will play Hong Deok Soo, a woman who disguises herself as a man to join Yongcheonru.
The newly released stills capture Hong Deok Soo entering a gambling den and participating in a high-stakes match.
Hong Deok Soo intently observes a red paper card shown by her opponent. This card, known as the hongpae (meaning red card in English), serves as an admission ticket to take the Yongcheonru exam. As Yongcheonru is regarded as a dream workplace for the youth of Joseon, obtaining the hongpae is as challenging as reaching for the stars. Determined to secure the hongpae, Hong Deok Soo boldly steps into the dangerous gambling scene.
With high stakes on the line, the gambling table is filled with palpable tension, yet Hong Deok Sooâs relaxed smile reveals her confidence. Viewers are curious to find out whether Hong Deok Soo will be able to successfully secure the hongpae and why she is so desperate to gain entry to Yongcheonru.
