Stephen Fry breaks silence with response to Celebrity Traitors on This Morning
Stephen Fry has been rumoured as one of the possible celebrity contestants on The Traitors
Stephen Fry appeared on This Morning as gave an "honest" response when the hosts asked him about whether he will be appearing on BBC's celebrity version of The Traitors.
Last year, the BBC announced at Edinburgh TV Festival that the nine-part celebrity version of The Traitors, but there has been no confirmation as to when it will be made, broadcast or who will be taking part.

The third series of the regular show finished at the end of January this year, Leanne and Jake were the winners. They decided to put their trust in each other meaning they left with a share of the ÂŁ94,600 prize pot and walk away with ÂŁ47, 300 each. Jake told host Claudia Winkleman immediately after his win: "I can't feel... I feel like my body is about to collapse. I'm just so happy."

Alexander and Frankie unfortunately missed out on the prize pot as neither Jake or Leanne believed them to be faithfuls, even though they were faithful from the start.

The US have had two series of The Traitors that included celebrities, with the first series being a mix of stars and the regular public. Kalpna Patel-Knight, the BBC's head of entertainment, said: "The Traitors has well and truly established itself as an unmissable highlight of the year and the news of a fourth outing, alongside a brand new celebrity version coming to the BBC, will take the series to a whole new level. It will once again be fascinating for our audiences to see whoâll outwit, outplay, and outlast. Let the mind games begin!"
Series two of the US celeb version saw the likes of Love Island's Ekin-Su CĂźlcĂźloÄlu and former Speaker of the House of Commons John Bercow participating in the game.

While on This Morning during Wednesday's (12th March) instalment, Stephen Fry was asked by hosts Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley whether the rumours are true, and if he's going to be appearing on the UK version. Stephen shared that he thought it's "a rather good game" and he "enjoys it very much".
He added: "If I was asked, I'd be kicked out if I spoke about it" after he teased: "Let me see, letâs see how good I am at lying... YES". Ben asked if Stephen would be a faithful or a traitor to which he responded: "I think of myself as a faithful. Personally, if oneâs honest, oneâs dishonest."
Stephen continued: "There is a part of all of us that does lie... We tell white lies most of the time" as he reflected on being a "fantasist" as a teenager where he told people his father had various jobs - from a pilot, to a spy, and even a police officer.
