The actor has attempted to put stop to the rumours he is dating one of his Strictly Come Dancing co-stars
Jamie Borthwick has attempted to put stop to the rumours he is dating one of his Strictly Come Dancing co-stars as he declared that she is 'my sister'.
Fans will know that the EastEnders star has recently been among the dance show's stars who have hit the road as part of the Strictly Come Dancing Live 2025 tour after taking part in the BBC One dance contest last year alongside his professional dance partner Michelle Tsiakkas.
Fans will recall that during Strictly's 20th anniversary series, Jamie was the ninth celebrity to leave the competition alongside dancer Michelle. At the time, they landed in the dreaded dance-off for the first time during week ten of Strictly 2024 and went up against Olympian Montell Douglas and her partner Johannes Radebe, with the judges opting to save the latter couple.
Jamie's exit sparked outrage among fans but they were soon delighted when t was revealed that Jamie would be heading out on the road with the Strictly Live 2025 tour. The soap star, alongside Michelle, has since been seen performing to thousands of fans up and down the country alongside a number of their co-stars.
Those co-stars included Tasha Ghouri and her professional dance partner Aljaz Skorjanec, who made it to the final of Strictly 2024 back in December. And it's Tasha and Jamie who have been the subject of romance rumours after their friendship was seen growing while on the road amidst Tasha's rumoured split from boyfriend Andrew Le Page.

But now, Jamie has denied there is anything going on between them. Alongside his Strictly co-stars at the TV Choice Awards 2025 on Monday evening (February 10), Jamie told MailOnline he sees the dancer as a 'sister'.
When asked what he thinks of the speculation, Jamie said: "Tasha? I laugh, Tasha is my sister. We laugh, honestly. It provides such comedy." Jamie was then asked if Tasha is 'in the sibling zone', to which he said: "Absolutely".
Speaking of his Strictly live tour experience, Jamie said it was 'amazing' but he is now ready to hang up his dancing shoes. He said; "We finished not even 24 hours ago, our last show was at the O2. We had five nights, it was brilliant. The whole tour was amazing.
"Accepting that all good things must come to an end. I've been lucky. The end of 2023, all of 2024 and the start of 2025 was all about Strictly for me." He then admitted: "I've had a good run, but now it's time to pack it in."
