While millions of sports fans are eagerly anticipating the forthcoming game, there's still a significant number who are more interested in tuning in for the halftime show. Read on to find out more about whoâs performing and how to watch it.
This yearâs halftime show will be headlined by Grammy-winning rapper Kendrick Lamar, who will be joined by his long time collaborator, R&B star SZA. Lamar, 37, was announced as the halftime performer in September by Jay-Z, whose company Roc Nation works with the NFL to select the halftime show performer.
"Kendrick Lamar is truly a once-in-a-generation artist and performer," Jay-Z said in a statement at the time. "His deep love for hip-hop and culture informs his artistic vision. He has an unparalleled ability to define and influence culture globally. Kendrickâs work transcends music, and his impact will be felt for years to come."

On 23 January, a trailer was released by Lamar and Apple Music showing the rapper walking on a football field before SZA playfully splashed him from behind. The pair have collaborated on hits such as the Oscar-nominated "All the Stars" and "Doves in the Wind", and also performed together on two tracks from Lamar's latest album.
It remains unclear if Lamar plans to bring out any other guest performers.
The halftime show doesn't have a set time due to the unpredictable nature of football games which can last around three and a half hours because of injuries, penalties, and media timeouts. However, it's safe to assume that Lamar will likely take the stage between 8 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. EST.
This year, Fox is broadcasting the game but for those without cable, Tubi will also be live-streaming it for free.
