I’ve been so laser-focused on shopping for spring that I forgot just how great cozy, fur-lined boots can be. Fortunately, Susan Sarandon reminded me. On a recent walk with Jessica Lange (icons only!), Sarandon reached for a pair of suede, chestnut brown boots that look a lot like the Uggs celebrities like Jennifer Lopez, Nicole Kidman, and Selena Gomez wear.

As InStyle’s fashion editor has said before, the luxurious lining of these boots makes them feel like a giant hug. They’re comfortable and soft like a slipper, but can actually be worn outside—people may even compliment you on them when you do. And because we’re nearing the end of winter (though, I do fully plan to wear these into spring), I managed to find a handful of the trending shoes on rare sale. The platform version of Ugg’s classic Mini Boot is now 30 percent off. Platform boots were this winter’s ‘It’ Ugg style, with Lopez repeatedly wearing her pair. I suspect it’s because that heel gives the shoe a cool, modern feel while also subtly dressing up the casual style. While $119 is far from cheap, I do think it’s a steal for these boots, which are made from suede and lined with the brand’s signature wool blend shoppers call “super soft.”

You can snag this other heeled pair on sale for just $85 at Amazon. To me, this is a no-brainer buy; again, you’re getting real suede, a luxurious lining, and an outfit-elevating heel. TBH, I kind of prefer this one to the platform because I find the shape of this chunky heel to be a little more modern and know that an ankle-height style works with a variety of pants.

For something that leans more cute than cool, you’ll want to grab Koolaburra’s Nalie boots. These have a faux-fur trim and a sweet button closure at the calf. Given that the black color is almost entirely sold out, I would assume this chestnut brown won’t be here much longer. So make sure to grab the on-sale boots shoppers call “comfortable and very warm” before they’re gone.
