Taylor Swift Opened About "Heartbreaking" Los Angeles Wildfires and Urged Fans to Donate
Taylor Swift revealed that she donated to a list of charities that are helping the relief effort for the Los Angeles wildfires.
Taylor Swift is among the list of celebrities who are giving back as members of the entertainment industry and families displaced by the wildfires in Los Angeles attempt to recover. To aid in the city's recovery efforts, the pop star revealed in a handwritten note that she has donated to 11 charities that are working hard to assist with helping those that are now homeless and have an uncertain future after losing everything to the natural disaster.
"The fires in California have devastated so many families, and it's been heartbreaking to see the stories unfold. So much suffering, loss, and destruction," the pop star wrote on her Instagram Stories. "As many people embark on some of the most challenging times of their lives, there are also many amazing organizations and groups banding together to help these communities rebuild."

"If you feel compelled or able to donate, please do," Swift concluded her statement, sharing the list of charities that she has sent financial assistance to, which includes 211 LA, the California Community Foundation Relief, Direct Relief, the Greater Los Angeles Education Foundation, the Los Angeles Unified School Distract Education Foundation Emergency Relief Fund, MusiCares, and the Pasadena Educational Foundation Eaton Fires Response Fund.

Swift isn't the first to give back amid the wildfires. Jamie Lee Curtis and Beyoncé donated $1 million and $2.5 million respectively to relief efforts, while Jennifer Lopez made a sizeable clothing donation.
