What would you do if you owned an eight-bedroom, 10-bathroom beachfront estate situated on 5.23 acres in Rhode Island? If youâre Taylor Swift, the answer is to make your mansion even bigger.
Permits filed with the town of Westerly, Rhode Island show that Swift is planning $1.7 million worth of renovations to her $17.75 million Watch Hill home, which she purchased in 2013.
The newly minted billionaireâs planned renovations include a 16Ă24 addition, multiple new bathrooms, and a kitchen remodel.
Swiftâs building permit was officially approved by the town of Westerly on Monday, though fans on social media posted videos showing that construction workers and a crane were already onsite over the weekend.
