Ted Lasso Star Jason Sudeikis Reveals Fate of Season 4 - E! Online
Ted Lasso’s Jason Sudeikis revealed the fate of the show’s season four—and some of the details fans can expect from the upcoming fourth installment.
Watch : Will There Be a Season 4 of Ted Lasso? Jason Sudeikis Says...
Football is life—and Ted Lasso is coming back for at least one more goal.
The beloved Apple TV+ series—starring Jason Sudeikis, Brett Goldstein, Juno Temple, Phil Dunster, Nick Mohammed and Hannah Waddingham—is officially coming back for a fourth season.
And yes, Jason will be back in his role as eternal optimist and heartfelt believer Ted Lasso.
“We’re writing season four now,” the show’s leading man revealed during a Mar. 14 appearance on New Heights with Jason Kelce and Travis Kelce. “That’s the official word. Ted’s coaching a women’s team. So, there’s that...”
But when Travis tried pushing the actor for more information, such as whether Ted’s new coaching endeavor will bring him stateside, Jason hedged, “Yeah, that’s too many questions.”
The confirmation comes almost exactly two years since the show’s third, and what was suspected as a possible final, season aired.
And while it seems that one of the many theories surrounding the finale’s open-endedness—whether a spinoff series seeing Keeley and Rebecca helm a new women’s team—has been answered, the largest question still looms: Will Ted return to the U.S. permanently to be closer to his son?

Fans, for now, will have to wait and see.
Though Jason remained coy while talking to the Kelce brothers, he did share slightly more information in a press release.
Apple TV+
“As we all continue to live in a world where so many factors have conditioned us to ‘look before we leap,” the Horrible Bosses alum teased, “in season four, the folks at AFC Richmond learn to LEAP BEFORE THEY LOOK, discovering that wherever they land, it’s exactly where they’re meant to be.”
And the team behind the show couldn’t be happier with the development.

As head of programming for Apple TV+ Matt Cherniss gushed, “Ted Lasso has been nothing short of a juggernaut, inspiring a passionate fanbase all over the world, and delivering endless joy and laughter, all while spreading kindness, compassion and unwavering belief. Everyone at Apple is thrilled to be continuing our collaboration with Jason and the brilliant creative minds behind this show.”
