The Masked Singer fans agree Wolf's identity is '80s icon and say 'clear as day'
Fans of The Masked Singer have rumbled Wolf's identity
The Masked Singer fans are all in agreement that an '80s pop icon is hiding behind the identity of Wolf as the final seven contestants remain.
The ITV show is just over the halfway mark as masked celebrities compete against each other in the hopes they'll be crowned the winner. Danny Jones from McFly won the 2024 season of The Masked Singer UK as the character Piranha.
Jonathan Ross, Maya Jama, Davina McCall, Mo Gilligan and host Joel Dommett all returned as they prepared to figure out who could be behind the mask.
During Saturday night's episode, fans of The Masked Singer took to social media to continue speculating about which celebrities are the secret singers.
While there's the occasional dispute about who it could be, Wolf seems to have fans in a general consensus as they're convinced it could be Marti Pellow.
The 59-year-old is best known for being the lead singer of the pop group Wet Wet Wet for 28 years. They formed in 1982 until their split in 1997, and returned once more for their reformation in 2004 until Marti left the group in 2017.
Taking to X (formerly known as Twitter), @NoOnesHomer wrote: "Hmm now Wolf sounds a lot like Marti Pellow this week." @LynneMulholland theorised: "Who else had a song called Angel EyesâŠWet Wet Wet. Wolf is Marti Pellow. He hardly disguised his voice tonight."
@CronoYellow27 added: "I've said it's Marti Pellow since I heard the first few lines sung weeks ago. Never once been mentioned by the panel, then tonight when Maya said Angel Eyes I thought at last. Then she said ABBA, I give up!!"
@dancingshoes06 joked: "WOLF IS DEFFO MARTI PELLOW!!!! Can hear it clear as day, this panel must be deaf" followed by a laughing emoji.
The Masked Singer airs on Saturday at 7pm on ITV1 and is available to stream on ITVX.
