The Masked Singer fans 'bamboozled' as Kingfisher is unmasked
Kingfisher was unmasked in The Masked Singer and left fans confused
The Masked singer fans were "confused" as Kingfisher was unmasked to be artist Grayson Perry on Saturday night (1st February).
As Saturday night approached, fans of the ITV singing competition waited patiently as it was revealed that two contestants would be unmasked.
With Pufferfish, Snail, Wolf, Dressed Crab, Kingfisher, Bear and Bush having made it past the halfway mark, they were eager to stay in the competition for a chance to be crowned the winner.
After all of the performances were complete, it was announced that Bear, Bush, Wolf and Dressed Crab had all made it through to the following week.
Unfortunately, Kingfisher was the first to be voted out and many fans were convinced Harry Hill or Bob Mortimer would be hiding behind the mask.
It was neither, however, as Grayson Perry revealed himself to the audience and the shocked judges panel couldn't believe that they didn't guess who it could've been.
Fans took to X (formerly known as Twitter), to share their thoughts. @teenamassam wrote: "Itâs not Harry Hill WTF, Iâve no idea who he is though..."
@michellepryde added: "Omg Grayson Perry. Saw someone saying it was him. Honestly thought it was Harry Hill" and @sharonw1411 echoed: "No way! I said Bob Mortimer"
@CFC_Amy90 mused: "me fully convincing myself one of my favourite people was kingfisher but got bamboozled" and @_AceOfGeeks_ wrote: "iâm still not convinced that kingfisher wasnât harry hill".
The Masked Singer airs on Saturday at 7pm on ITV1 and is available to stream on ITVX.
