The Masked Singer fans say 'so sad' as Snail is latest to be unveiled
The latest celebrity was revealed on The Masked Singer as Snail left the competition in a double elimination
The Masked Singer fans flocked to social media to share their thoughts as Andrea Corr was the latest celebrity to be unmasked on Saturday (1st February).
Viewers of the ITV show waited in suspense as host Joel Dommett announced that there would be a double elimination now that the sixth series is past the halfway mark.
The first celebrity to be unmasked was artist Grayson Perry as Kingfisher who fans were convinced would be Harry Hill or Bob Mortimer.
It was then up to judges Jonathan Ross, Maya Jama, Davina McCall and Mo Gilligan to decide who out of Snail or Pufferfish would be getting unmasked.
In an unanimous judges vote, they decided that Pufferfish would be seen again next week and it was time for Snail's Masked Singer journey to come to an end.
As the crowd cheered for the critter who sung their rendition of Dance the Night Away by Dua Lipa, they were soon revealed as Irish musician and actress Andrea Corr.
Andrea was the lead singer of the Celtic folk rock and pop rock group The Corrs along with her three elder siblings Caroline, Sharon and Jim.
Fans took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to share their thoughts on the reveal. @aliceesolsen wrote: "I bloody love Andrea Corr, so sad she’s out"
@ciaraspinkpod added: "I know Andrea Corr through my u2 family. I knew she was Snail from the 1st show!" and @Schizorella penned: "I got one right! Thought Snail was Andrea Corr from the second week!"
@JFDT29 said: "The Corrs sisters always come across as totally lovely whenever I see clips of them. Bit disappointed Andrea has gone out this week tho" and @simon_dukey wrote: "No way should Andrea Corr be leaving this early!!!"
The Masked Singer airs on Saturday at 7pm on ITV1 and is available to stream on ITVX.
