The Masked Singer: Bush performs Boo Radleys track
Social media sleuths are convinced that The Masked Singer’s “Bush” is EastEnders stalwart Natalie Cassidy. But, speaking on her Off The Telly podcast, Natalie deflected any suspicions – asking co-host Joanna Page: “Can you imagine me doing that?”
Natalie categorically stated, “I am not Bush,” but Gavin and Stacey star Joanna was keen to quiz her further.
Pointing out that she has never liked performing in front of an audience, Natalie also reminded Joanna that they see each other so regularly to record their BBC Sounds podcast that it would be have been impossible to hide the days she would have spent recording the show: “We have worked together for a whole year,” she said. “When would I have I squeezed that in?”

Joanna playfully replied that she still had her suspicions, and she’d be watching the show closely for any more clues that linked her pal to the mysterious Bush character. According to Natalie, The Masked Singer isn’t a big show in her house; claiming no-one in her family watches it, so there’s very little discussion of the masked characters’ identities.
By contrast, Joanna’s clan are glued to the ITV show, and there’s a general belief that Natalie will sooner or later be exposed, even though, the actress admits, the mystery star’s voice sounds much deeper than Natalie’s normally is.
Despite Natalie’s denials, the majority of The Masked Singer fans believe she is a secret competitor on the show, although other suspects, such as Scarlett Moffatt, Kerry Godliman and Katherine Parkinson have also been mentioned.

One particularly imaginative fan theorised on Reddit that Bush was really comic actor Morgana Robinson “pretending to be Natalie Cassidy."
Betting industry insiders put Natalie’s odds of being revealed as the voice behind Bush at 1/2 – a probability of 66.7%, while Morgana Robinson comes in at 10/1 (9.1%).
Three celebrities have now been eliminated on this year's The Masked Singer so far. Grammy winner Macy Gray, the latest to be voted out, left in an obvious huff, having been a finalist in the US version in 2023.

The American singer gave monosyllabic answers to the panel after taking off the head of her Toad in the Hole costume.
Speaking to The Sun, a source claimed that the singer may have been expecting to reach the later stages of the competition, after making the final in the US.
They said: "This has never happened on The Masked Singer before."

The source added: "When Macy stormed off stage everyone was frozen in shock but as soon as she reached backstage, crew removed her mask so they could talk her down.
"Macy was almost shellshocked to start with and was basically gutted to be out so early because she really enjoyed being on the American version - when obviously she did brilliantly - so was totally blindsided."
The uproar didn’t end there. An ITV insider told The Mirror that the American singer refused to take part in the post-show interview, which celebrities have traditionally done after leaving the show.
