The Masked Singer's first double elimination sees Kingfisher and Snail leave
The Masked Singer aired a brutal double elimination during Saturday night's episode, with Kingfisher and Snail both being unmasked
The Masked Singer aired a brutal double elimination - and two stars have said their goodbyes. The wildest programme on TV made its return to screens on Saturday night (February 1) - with the remaining masked celebs taking to the stage to show off their vocal chops.
The likes of Bush, Dressed Crab, Wolf, Kingfisher and Snail all performed a slew of hits as they attempted to foil their true identity. Joel Dommett was back to host, as well as judges Davina McCall, Jonathan Ross, Maya Jama and Mo Gilligan, who joined forces to deduce the identities of celebrities hidden beneath elaborate costumes.

So far, fans have witnessed the unveiling of Toad In The Hole as Macy Gray, Pegasus as Prue Leith, Spag Bol as Kate Garraway, Carol Decker as Tattoo and Mel Giedroyc revealed as Teeth. And during Saturday's episode (February 1), not only was one celeb getting the boot, but two in a brutal twist.
At the end of the show, it was revealed that Kingfisher had the fewest votes. He was unmasked as comedian and artist Sir Grayson Perry.
Talking to the judges and hosts, he said he had a "lovely time embracing the spirit of the show". While later on Snail was revealed to be Andrea Corr, reports the Express.
Irish singer Andrea shot to fame in the group The Corrs along with her three elder siblings. "I had such a good time, everyone's been lovely, it's been really joyous. I wanted to do it for the children," Andrea gushed after getting unmasked.

In another segment of the show, contestant Pufferfish sparked a flurry of speculation after a significant clue was revealed. A photograph of Coronation Street icon Helen Worth, who portrayed Gail Platt, was shown during their VT.
Now, viewers are speculating that Pufferfish could be Kym Marsh, another star from the ITV soap. This is a developing TV story and will be updated regularly.
