The Masked Singer star Gregory Porter, who was unveiled as Dressed Crab during the final, has opened up on his secret battle while wearing the impressive costume
Grammy-winning sensation Gregory Porter has spilled the beans on his challenging journey during The Masked Singer. After a thrilling finale on ITV, the 53-year-old was revealed as the man behind Dressed Crab, just moments before Samantha Barks clinched the title as Pufferfish.
Despite his impressive run, Gregory opened up about the not-so-glamorous side of his stint on the show, confessing to host Joel Dommett that the costume brought on bouts of claustrophobia. "I'm not going to lie," he confessed.
"I had to get over a little bit of claustrophobia, you know. Who needs oxygen? Who needs oxygen?" But it wasn't all tough going for the jazz icon; he found joy in the experience too. "This is extraordinary, this is a real moment for me," he beamed.

Week after week, Gregory wowed the celebrity judges with his renditions of classics like Bill Withers' Lean on Me, Earth, Wind & Fire's Let's Groove, Lenny Kravitz's Are You Gonna Go My Way, and California Dreamin' by The Mamas & the Papas.
Gregory wowed the audience in the final of The Masked Singer with his performances of Ain't No Sunshine by Bill Withers and a duet of Ain't No Mountain High Enough with series five star Keala Settle. However, some viewers were left frustrated by the show's "complicated" clues, making it difficult to guess the celebrities behind the masks, reports the Mirror.
One viewer expressed: "I think the clues are too hard to work out who people are," adding, "I get not putting includes that are too obvious but this year's feels so hard, I can hardly work out any! " Another viewer agreed: "Make the clues less complicated! It might just be me but I find them so weird."
In another twist, Mo Gilligan was noticeably absent from the celebrity panel, leaving fans puzzled as the show did not address his absence. This wasn't the first time the comedian was missing from the show, as he was also absent from the semi-final.
Fans took to social media to question his whereabouts, with one fan asking: "Where is Mo on masked singer he's not even been mentioned? ? ? ?" Another queried: "Where did Mo go from the Masked Singer ? ?" While another fan wondered: "Where's Mo Gilligan? He's been absent in the past couple of episodes.#MaskedSingerUK #MaskedSinger."
According to The Mirror, Mo missed the final episodes of the recent series due to work commitments, as he was on tour.
