The Scottish cities 'most likely to see Valentine's Day proposals' named
With Valentine's Day just around the corner, a new study has revealed the cities in Scotland that are the most and least likely to see marriage proposals on February 14.

The Scottish cities most and least likely to see Valentine's Day proposals have been revealed.
February 14 is the most romantic day of the year, with many seeing it as the perfect opportunity to propose to their other half. There is no wrong place to make a proposal, but Scotland's beautiful cities are a great choice.
Experts at Casino.org have shared a new list of the cities in the country where people are most likely to propose on Valentine's Day. To put together the list, they analysed search terms such as 'engagement rings' and 'proposal ideas'.
Coming in at number one as the city in Scotland most likely to see Valentine's Day proposals is Stirling. The historic city is most famous for Stirling Castle and the National Wallace Monument, both of which could make for the ideal backdrop for a proposal.
Stirling is known for its buzzy food scene, with The Orangery and River House Stirling being among its top romantic restaurants. It is also home to intimate bars such as No 2 Baker Street and Nicky-Tams Bar & Bothy.
The Scottish city where proposals are the second-most likely to occur is Dunfermline. Scotland's newest city features romantic beauty spots including Dunfermline Abbey and Palace and Pittencrieff Park, as well as intimate restaurants such as Dhoom and Jack 'O' Bryan's.

As reported by the Daily Record, four Glasgow restaurants were recently named among the most romantic in Scotland. Ardnamurchan, Number 16 Restaurant, Ralph and Finns, and The Spanish Butcher were all included in OpenTable's roundup of the "Top 100 Romantic Restaurants in the UK for 2025".
Food in ScotlandRounding out the top five cities in Scotland where marriage proposals are most likely to occur this Valentine's Day are Inverness and Perth. The former is home to acclaimed restaurant Cafe 1, which was also featured on OpenTable's list of the most romantic restaurants in Scotland, while Perth features scenic beauty spots such as Scone Palace and Branklyn Garden.
On the other hand, according to Casino.org, Dundee is the Scottish city where proposals are least likely to occur this Valentine's Day. Nonetheless, the coastal city is known for beauty spots like Broughty Ferry Beach and the Dundee Botanic Garden that would be perfect for a proposal.
