The Secrets Behind Mikey Madison’s Old Hollywood Glam for the 2025 SAG Awards
Mikey Madison attended the SAG Awards, where she was up for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role for 'Anora.' She dressed to impress in a custom silver Louis Vuitton gown and French-girl makeup. Here, get all the exclusive details and fabulous photos of her glamorous look.
The 'Anora' star put a modern twist on vintage for her big night.
Allow her slew of major nominations and wins during this year's awards season to be an indicator—Mikey Madison is the future of Hollywood. The 25-year-old is having a banner year, having played the lead in Sean Baker's dramedy Anora, which has clinched top honors, including the Palme d'Or at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival. Madison embodies the title character (more commonly referred to as "Ani"), a stripper with a thick Brooklyn accent who marries the son of a Russian oligarch, giving way to a gloomy Cinderella story. The role takes Madison from a rising actress to a bona fide superstar—showing the world she has the range and there's only more to come. While fans look ahead at the industry darling's promising career, she looked back on the best of cinema's past as inspiration for her 2025 SAG Awards look.
It was a huge night for Madison, who was up for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role, and although she ultimately lost to The Substance star and her new friend Demi Moore, she won Best Dressed in our books. Madison looked like a silver-screen siren in an opulent gray custom-made Louis Vuitton gown. The satin masterpiece featured a strapless bustier, floor-grazing column skirt and a flouncy hand-pleated bow at the waist. Understandably, it was love at first sketch. Madison fawns that she and her stylist, Jamie Mizrahi, had a when you know, you know moment, gravitating to the dress upon seeing a picture of the design. "When I tried it on, I fell in love with the color. For a dress to be this stunning and comfortable felt like a fairytale."
The Scream star and her glam team wanted to pay homage to classic '50s fashion with Old Hollywood glamour that had a dose of modern flair. What better way to do that than with archival Tiffany & Co. jewelry and timeless, bold makeup courtesy of Armani Beauty? "[My style icons are] film stars of the '50s, '60s and '70s. I think I really romanticize those eras of cinema and, of course, the leading ladies too," Madison says.

"At the moment, comfort and simplicity are a priority. I tend to reach for a cashmere sweater and Levi’s 501s," Madison says.

"I have a very collaborative process with my hairstylist Rena Calhoun and my makeup artist Melissa Hernandez. It starts with the dress and jewelry. Then, we’ll share ideas and inspiration until we settle on the vibe and direction," Madison explains.
Hernandez adds, “For Mikey’s SAG Awards look, I was inspired by the timeless elegance of Old Hollywood glamour but wanted it to feel fresh and modern. Her custom Louis Vuitton gown had such a strong presence, so we kept the skin luminous and the eyes softly defined to balance it out. The bold red lip was the perfect finishing touch—a nod to the classic beauty of the 50s that made the whole look feel effortless and beautiful.”
Calhoun continues, “We wanted to let the dress be the moment tonight. I kept the hair very minimal and clean. I also wanted to reflect the shine in the fabric. The key for me today was to get as much shine in the hair as possible.”

"Armani Beauty Luminous Silk Foundation and Armani Beauty Vertigo Mascara (launching March 28) are two of my beauty staples. The foundation gives my skin a flawless look without feeling heavy, and the mascara gives volume, length, and definition—a natural, bold yet refined look. Also, I use a vanilla musk I got from Whole Foods and mix that with some other oils for a light fragrance."
