The Simpsons voice actor, Hank Azaria has admitted that heâs worried about his future in the industry amid the rise of artificial intelligence.
Azaria, 60, has worked on the long-running animated sitcom since 1989 and voiced numerous characters including Moe Szyslak, Chief Wiggum, Superintendent Chalmers, Comic Book Guy, Snake and Professor Frink.
The Simpsons has undergone many changes as of late, including switching TV channels in the UK. Now in its 36th season, there is seemingly no end to the show in sight, despite many of its voice actors retiring or passing away.
The use of artificial intelligence has become more prominent in Hollywood but that has prompted issues, most notably when the technology is used to replicate the performance of a deceased star.
In a piece for the New York Times, Azaria opened up about his worries surrounding AI and how it might be used to replace him in the future.
Azaria wrote: âThe AI model may not know whatâs funny or what timing is, but it could do a million different takes. And it could be told to do them as I would - and it might be pretty convincing.â
âSo, if Iâm being honest, I am a little worried,â Azaria added. âThis is my job. This is what I love to do, and I donât want to have to stop doing it. The conventional wisdom in Hollywood is that the technology for making faces seem fully human is five years away. I fear that the voice equivalent is also coming.â

Viewers were left somewhat startled as the long-running animated seriesâs 36th season, which has bizarrely predicted real-life events for more than three decades, was launched with an episode branded its âseries finaleâ.

Throughout the episode, there were animated recreations of final shots of shows including The Sopranos, Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones and Succession.
Speaking to The New York Post, showrunner Pete Selman said that episode was inspired by the impossibility of ending the show satisfactorily.
âThe discussion that it would be so hard to do a last episode is what led to the fake series finale,â said Selman. âThat itâs sort of an impossible thing.â
âThe show isnât meant to end,â he continued. âTo do a sappy crappo series finale, like most other shows do, would be so lame. So we just did one that was like over the top.â

The upcoming Korean adaptation of “You Are the Apple of My Eye” has unveiled new character stills of Jung Jinyoung and TWICE’s Dahyun!
Adapted from the popular Taiwanese coming-of-age romance film of the same name, “You Are the Apple of My Eye” tells the story of Jin Woo (Jung Jinyoung), an 18-year-old who spends countless days building up the courage to confess his feelings to Seon Ah (Dahyun), his first love.
Jinyoung transforms into Jin Woo, a devoted young man who, from his mischievous teenage years into adulthood, has eyes only for Seon Ah.
In the newly released stills, Jin Woo’s casually worn school uniform and sporty basketball attire capture his playful, carefree nature. However, a stark contrast emerges in another image—neatly dressed and focused on an exam—hinting at the changes he undergoes after meeting Seon Ah, heightening curiosity about his journey.
Meanwhile, Dahyun takes on a new challenge as she makes her big screen debut, unveiling a fresh side of herself as an actress. Known for her bright and pure image, Dahyun brings warmth and endearing charm to the role of Seon Ah, a model student and the embodiment of everyone's first love.
Seon Ah’s stills, showing her attentively taking notes and receiving an award, highlight her studious and composed demeanor. However, as she encounters Jin Woo, new layers of her character unfold, revealing a spectrum of emotions. Just like a still of her radiantly smiling against a seaside backdrop, each moment she spends with Jin Woo reveals a new facet of Seon Ah, adding depth and vibrancy to the story.
