This Morning: Josie Gibson bids farewell to colleague
This Morning host Josie Gibson bid farewell to her co-star on Friday (February 28), as she said "it's a very sad day".
During the latest episode of the popular ITV morning show, Josie announced that it was show chief Martin Frizell's final day in the studio.
"Today is a very special day, and a very sad day for us, because our editor, Martin, it's his last day," she conveyed, also disclosing that Martin had been given control of Friday's jukebox.
Alison Hammond chimed in, saying "He's got quite good taste, our editor," as Shania Twain's iconic 1997 anthem 'Man! I Feel Like A Woman!' filled the airwaves, reports Wales Online.
"He has got good taste. Well, he employs us!" Josie cheekily retorted, eliciting Alison's agreement: "Very true! Good point, babe, good point."

Back in November 2024, Martin announced plans to step down from the show after a decade.
The 66-year-old's decision comes so he can dedicate more time to his wife, Fiona Phillips, who received an Alzheimer's diagnosis in 2022.
"Next year I'm expecting my family priorities to change, so I need to free up time for them. I love my team at ITV and will miss them and the thrill of live telly, but it's an always on, 24 hours a day, seven days a week commitment, and I won't be able to do both," he expressed previously.
"It's been a privilege to lead truly great presenters and producers, between us we've turned out more than six thousand hours of live topical telly, that's around 20,000 items," Martin added.
"Whilst the gongs are always nice, I'm most proud of the change we made to so many lives, even saving a fair few with our campaigns on anti-suicide, menopause, testicular cancer and 'how-to' items. This juggernaut is the toughest test for any broadcast journalist."

Regarding his appointment, Vivek commented: "Having grown up watching the show, it's an incredible privilege and honour to take on the role of editor of This Morning.
"Over the last 37 years, the show has become a national institution and has been responsible for some of the most memorable moments on television."
Vivek concluded: "The team on and off camera are world-class and I can't wait to work alongside them in my new role, as we shape the future of this iconic brand."
