Thousands of Virgin Media customers hit with broadband connection problems
Nearly 9,000 Virgin Media customers have flagged issues with their internet connection with the website Downdetector.co.uk
Thousands of Virgin Media customers are reporting problems connecting to Wi-Fi.
As of shortly before 11am on Monday, nearly 9,000 users had flagged issues with their internet connection with the website Downdetector.co.uk.
A Virgin Media spokesperson said: âWeâre aware that some customers are experiencing intermittent issues with their services.
âWe apologise for any inconvenience and are working to fix this as a priority.â
More than two thirds of the complaints on Downdetector are relating to loss of landline internet services.
A heatmap of affected areas shows they are concentrated in cities across the UK, including London, Manchester, Birmingham, Nottingham and Plymouth.

Virgin Media has over 5.8million broadband customers in the UK.
People have taken to social media to express their frustration about the outage this morning.
One user said: âWifi issues again and unable to access any Virgin Media help as it seems nothing is working...â
Another user made a jab at the internet provider, saying: âOh look, Virgin Media is on fire again. Must be the weekly outage.â
