In a fiery social media spat on Monday, White House Director of Communications Steven Cheung unleashed a sharp insult at former Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Walz, calling him a âcuckâ after Walz took aim at billionaire Elon Musk.
Walz, Minnesotaâs far-left governor, had mocked Muskâs influence over the Trump White House, writing, âElon Musk is a terrible president.â The post insinuated that Musk, not President Donald Trump, was the true power behind the Oval Office.
Cheung fired back almost immediately, labeling Walz a âcuck,â a derogatory term often used to describe a weak or submissive man. His response was retweeted by the official Trump White House Rapid Response account, amplifying the attack.
According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, the term âcuckâ is defined as âa weak or submissive manâ or âa man whose wife is unfaithful.â Cheungâs use of the term drew immediate attention and set off a wave of reactions from across the political spectrum.
The Trump War Room also piled on, responding to Walzâs post with a blunt, âWho are you?â Senior Trump adviser Jason Miller, known for his sharp-tongued remarks, tweeted, âSir, this is an ArbyâsâŠâ
Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) joined the fray with a mocking jibe: âDid you run out of boysâ bathrooms to put tampons in?â The remark appeared to reference the ongoing political debate over gender identity policies in schools.
Musk himself was no stranger to the drama, having already labeled Walz âcreepyâ after Walz accused the billionaire of performing a âNazi salute.â After a post by conservative commentator Robby Starbuck, who tweeted, âI hope Elon sues him for all heâs worth,â Musk replied, âI think I will. Tim Walz is a creepy.â
The feud is the latest chapter in the ongoing war of words between Musk, a prominent Trump ally, and his political opponents. Musk has been a vocal critic of progressive policies and politicians, drawing the ire of figures like Walz, who have frequently targeted the billionaireâs influence over American politics.
While Musk has yet to announce any legal action against Walz, the tensions show no signs of cooling down. If anything, it seems that the battle lines between the tech mogul and his critics are only getting more heated.
