Tina Fey And Amy Poehler Interrupt Jimmy Fallon Monologue To Pile On Trump
The "Saturday Night Live" alums invaded the host's space for a joke-off that needled the president.
Tina Fey and Amy Poehler burst from behind the curtain to interrupt Jimmy Fallonâs âTonight Showâ monologue on Wednesday. (Watch the video below.)
The host feigned surprise to see his fellow âSaturday Night Liveâ alums, who complained that Fallonâs previous joke about President Donald Trumpâs executive order to replace paper straws with plastic hadnât caused a stir.

âYou think you can do better?â Fallon asked. Naturally they all joined forces along with âLate Nightâ host Seth Meyers, another ex-âSNLâ regular, in a âJoke Offâ on the same subject. Fey pressed the red button first.
âItâs all part of Trumpâs plan to make America suck again,â she quipped.
But that wasnât the winning shtick. The honor bestowed by Fallon went to Poehler, who said: âWhen Trump was told this might cause more turtles to die, he said, âIâm not concerned about Mitch McConnell.ââ
The segment came together in advance of âSNLâsâ 50th anniversary special on Sunday.
Fast forward to 6:05 for the straw vote:
