Tish Cyrus Battles Anxiety Amid Her Journey Away From Weed
At 57, Tish is embracing a new lifestyle to tackle her anxiety head-on, trading old habits for healthier alternatives. The music manager is reportedly diving into exercise, yoga, and meditation, all in an effort to stay grounded in 2025.
However, going without her go-to weed has been a daily rollercoaster, but she is reportedly committed to staying the course. A source shared that Tish misses the temporary relief marijuana once provided, though it is no longer a viable option for her.
"Tish is struggling. She misses being able to relax and smoke a joint and have her anxiety fade away, but unfortunately, she just can't do that anymore because smoking actually makes her anxiety even worse," the source tells In Touch.

"Miley has been a huge support system for her and a great example because she's totally sober and really believes it's the best path, but she's also not giving her mom a guilt trip because the truth is Tish might start smoking weed again."Â

Despite struggling with anxiety, Tish did not just recently quit smoking weed—she first shared that she had stopped last year. The manager first revealed in October 2024 that she had given up smoking weed five months earlier.
This shift led to a significant change for her and her daughter Brandi, as they rebranded their podcast from "Sorry We're Stoned" to "Sorry We're Cyrus." During a January 2 episode of their revamped podcast, Tish shared how her decision to quit marijuana happened by chance.Â
"It was kind of by accident that I stopped smoking. I went on vacation, and it was somewhere I could not have a pot, and like three days in, [I] had the worst anxiety I've ever had in my life. And when I tried to smoke again … Nope," she revealed.

Miley Cyrus Swore Off Her Mother's Weed After Intense Experience
Miley may have introduced her mother to weed, but the tables have turned in a big way. While the matriarch's stash has earned a reputation, Miley admitted that it is now something she avoids entirely.
The Blast reported that during an appearance on "My Next Guest Needs No Introduction With David Letterman" last year, the singer opened up about a wild encounter with her mother's potent supply. "I don't smoke my mom's weed anymore," Miley confessed before adding:
"The last time I smoked her weed was a couple of weeks ago, and I did walk in and take the smallest puff ever, and I couldn't drive for what felt like three days, and I didn't know who I was."
Though she now avoids Tish's weed, Miley joked about pretending to partake. "Usually, I fake it to be cool for my mom," she admitted.

Tish Cyrus And Dominic Purcell Turn To Therapy Amid Family Drama
Despite Miley's unwavering support for her mother's marriage to Purcell, their union has not been without controversy. In March, whispers surfaced that Tish's youngest daughter, Noah, had been romantically linked to the actor before her mother began dating him.
The Blast reported that while none of them addressed the alleged love triangle publicly, insiders revealed how the couple navigated the fallout. A source close to Tish and Dominic shared that they are "working on communication and seeking therapy together" to rebuild their relationship.
Another insider disclosed that the drama initially "pushed them away from one another," making therapy an essential step in their healing process. However, repairing the emotional wounds will take time, the source added.
Even in the face of anxiety and family drama, Tish Cyrus proves that change is possible with the support of loved ones.
