Last week, reports began circulating that Blake Lively and Taylor Swift had patched things up after their friendship turned icy in the wake of Livelyâs legal drama with Justin Baldoni. If the longtime pals did patch things up, Swiftâs boyfriend didnât get the memo. In a seemingly telling move, Travis Kelce unfollowed Livelyâs husband, Ryan Reynolds, on Instagram. He isnât following Lively either, but it is possible he never did.
Travis Kelce has been spending his off-season lying low with Taylor Swift. He apparently is spending some of that downtime on social media. The NFL tight end stirred up some drama this week when he suddenly and inexplicably unfollowed Ryan Reynolds on Instagram. TMZ was the first outlet to report the sudden change.
According to the publication, Kelce had previously followed the Deadpool star but appears to have cut the cord after his girlfriend was dragged into Blake Livelyâs legal battle. Kelce isnât currently following Lively either, but it seems he never did follow the Gossip Girl starlet.
Kelce follows over 1,600 people, mostly other stars and celebrities. The very public drop seems to signal serious trouble between Swift and her close friends. Swiftâs own Instagram account doesnât offer any further information. She doesnât follow any accounts on her public profile. Interestingly enough, Kelce also doesnât follow Swift on the social media platform.
Blake Lively and Taylor Swift have been close friends for years, but rumors are swirling that their friendship has cooled significantly as lawsuits surrounding the production of It Ends With Us heat up. Swift wasnât directly connected to the production but was dragged into the legal drama through messages sent by Lively.
According to court documents, during a meeting at Livelyâs New York penthouse to discuss script revisions, Swift arrived and expressed support for Livelyâs changes. Baldoni has argued that Swiftâs stopover was strategic. In court documents, he asserted that Swiftâs presence and endorsement were an attempt to pressure him into accepting Livelyâs version of the script.
Lively also referred to Swift and Reynolds as her âdragonsâ in a text message to Baldoni. Baldoniâs legal team has argued that the statement was an âintimidation tacticâ and a power play because of her Hollywood connections. While Swift hasnât discussed the situation openly, rumors have swirled that sheâs unhappy that Lively used her star status as leverage without her consent. According to Music Times, Swift has distanced herself from Lively and Reynolds. While there is limited evidence to support the claim, Lively hasnât been seen with Swift recently. Kelceâs Instagram antics donât look good for the health of the companionships, either.
Swift is not a defendant in the lawsuit. Still, she might end up involved. There is speculation that she will be called to testify during the trial. It is expected to begin next year.
