Travis Kelce is leaning into losing ahead of the 2025 Super Bowl.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end, who will face off against the Philadelphia Eagles in New Orleans Feb. 9, recently explained why weight loss and dieting are part of his preparation leading up to the big game.
âIâve been eating clean,â Travis said during a Feb. 6 press conference. âI havenât been drinking as much, a little lower on the pounds this week. So, hopefully I can run away from some Eagles out there.â
And when one critic quipped that he may get slower with his new diet, Travis said the comment would only fuel him in the game, announcing to the room, âMotivation right there, isnât it?â
But Travisâwhose girlfriend Taylor Swift will be in the stands for the matchupâisnât just motivated by the critics. In fact, he sees the âLavender Hazeâ singerâs work ethic on her international Eras Tour as a model to âtake a lot of notes from.â

âWhat I saw on that tour last year was pretty remarkable,â he continued. âTo see the week-in, week-out traveling from one country to the next and how excruciating it is on her body and on her mindâand itâs not just her. It was her entire tour. It was an absolute machine and it was something I could admire watching.â
As for who else is inspiring the three-time Super Bowl champ? His brother Jason Kelceâs daughters Wyatt, 5, Elliotte, 4, and Bennett, 23 months, who Jason shares with wife Kylie Kelce.Â

âThe fact that the girls are gonna be wearing a âGo Uncle Travvyâ shirt, it warms my heart and gives me something else to fight for,â Travis shared. âHopefully I can make them proud and put a few smiles on their faces throughout the game.â
Though his nieces are rooting for Uncle Trav, their parents Jasonâwho retired from the Eagles last yearâand Kylie announced theyâre pulling for the Birds, but Travis isnât holding a grudge.
âJason and Kylie, I love them to death,â he said. âThis game isnât gonna get in between how much I love them.â

Who is playing in the Super Bowl?
The Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles will be facing off in Super Bowl LIX.
In the National Football League (NFL), there are 32 teams across two conferences: Sixteen teams are in the American Football Conference (AFC) and 16 are in the National Football Conference (NFC). The champion of the AFC plays against the champion of the NFC to see who will be the champion of the entire NFL that yearâwith the game marking the end of the football season.
The Kansas City Chiefs are part of the AFC while the Philadelphia Eagles are part of the NFC.

What's at stake this Super Bowl?
Besides obviously bragging rights, the winning team of the Super Bowl gets the Vince Lombardi trophyânamed after the legendary football coach Vince Lombardi, who led the Green Bay Packers to victory in the first-ever Super Bowl. The players, coaches, team executives and other key employees in the organization also get Super Bowl rings.
This year, the Kansas City Chiefs are also looking to make history and become the first team in the NFL to win three Super Bowls in a row. The team won both the 2024 and the 2023 Super Bowlsâbringing their total title count to four so far as they were also triumphant at the 2020 and 1970 big games.
As for the Eagles, the last time they won a Super Bowl was in 2018. While this marks their only Super Bowl victory thus far, they're hoping to bring another championship to the nestâespecially considering this game marks a rematch after they lost to the Chiefs at the 2023 Super Bowl.

Who are a few key players to know on the Eagles and Chiefs?
Jalen Hurts is the quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles and has been with the team since 2020. According to NBC Sports Philadelphia, his past seven postseason games have included at least 20 passes and zero interceptionsâthe longest streak in NFL history.
Another name to know is Saquon Barkley, a running back close to breaking the single-season rushing record (including playoffs) set by Hall of Famer Terrell Davis. In fact, he and cornerback Cooper DeJean are both celebrating their birthdays on Super Bowl Sunday.
You'll also want to remember A.J. Brown. Not only has the wide receiver received praise for his performance on the field, but he's also gone viral for moments off the field (like when he pulled out a book in the middle of the playoffs to do some reading on the sidelines).
As for the Chiefs, Patrick Mahomes is the team's quarterback. Ever since he joined the team in 2017, he's won three Super Bowls (2020, 2023 and 2024) and been named MVP twice by the NFL Honors.
You'll also want to jot down the name Chris Jones, the defensive tackle with the fourth most sacks in Chiefs history. And of course there's Travis Kelce. Not only has the tight end made headlines for dating Taylor Swift, but he's also the Chiefs' all-time leader in receiving touchdowns.

How do you win the Super Bowl?
Like in most sports, the team with the highest score at the end wins.
In football, there are two sides: The offense, which is trying to score points, and the defense, which is trying to stop them from doing so.
There are a few ways teams can score points. The first is with a touchdown, which occurs when a team throws or runs the ball into their opponentâs end zone (a.k.a. the scoring areas at the ends of the field). In order for a touchdown to count, the player must have any part of the ball cross the goal line, which is the line that separates the end zone from the rest of the field.
When a team scores a touchdown, they get six points. They then have a chance to score even more points. This is done by either kicking the ball from the 15-yardline through the goalposts for one point or by completing a two-point conversion, which is when the team has one play starting from the two-yardline to get the ball back into the end zone for two points.
If the offense doesnât make it to the end zone for a touchdown but theyâre close, they can kick a field goalâwhich is when they kick the ball through the goalpost for three points.
After a team scores, the other team gets the ball.

Great, any other football terms I should know?
Letâs tackle some of the basics: A football field is 100 yards. Teams have a specific number of playsâor downsâto move the ball towards the end zone to score.
At the start of a play, the offense and the defense line up on opposite sides of a line called the line of scrimmage. They cannot cross this line until the ball is snappedâa.k.a. the ball is given to the quarterback on the offense to begin a play.
The offense then has four chancesâor four downsâto move the ball at least 10 yards down the field by running or throwing the ball. If they do this, they get to keep the ball, and they get another four chances to move the ball another 10 yards or more. This process repeats until the offense either makes it to the end zone, or the defense stops them from advancing at least 10 yards within four downs, resulting in the other team then getting the ball. There are several ways the defense can stop the offense from moving down the field, such as by tackling, blocking or intercepting (a.k.a. when the offense throws the ball to another member of their team and the defense catches it instead, resulting in them getting to keep the ball). The defense can also get the ball back if the offense fumbles (drops) the football during a play and the defense recovers it.
If a referee determines a player on either side is breaking the rules of the game, that player can receive a penalty.

Days after he won five awards at the 2025 Grammys, the "Not Like Us" artist is taking the stage for the Super Bowl Halftime Show.
It's not the first time he's done the gig, either. Kendrick was part of the 2022 Halftime Show with Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem and Mary J. Blige.

Will Taylor Swift be at the Super Bowl?
The players are gonna play, play, play, play, play at the Super Bowl, and it looks like Taylor will be there for the game.
"Yeah, I think everybody's coming in," Travis' brother, former Eagles center Jason Kelce, told People Feb. 4. "I mean, I don't want to speak for everybody, but I think obviously, our whole family. I believe, obviously Trav and Taylor, and his family and his friends. I mean, Trav always travels like, full."
And while the "Bejeweled" singer is originally from Pennsylvania, the tight end isn't worried about where her loyalties lie.
"I don't know her to have the fandom," Travis told NBC Sports Philadelphia reporter John Clark. "I know her father has a Philadelphia fandom as an Eagles fan. She'll be all for the Chiefs this time around for sure."
As for who her dad Scott Swift will be rooting for, Travis suggested the answer remains a blank space but that he thinks he'll be rooting for the Chiefs.
"I'll have to ask Scott himself," the athlete continued. "We haven't had that convo yet, but I think he'll be wearing red. I don't know."
As viewers wait to see which team gets the Super Bowl ring, some have been wondering if there could be another ring presented on game day. When a reporter recently asked Travis if he planned to propose to Taylor at halftime, he simply replied, "Wouldn't you like to know?"

âThe Potato Labâ is a new romantic comedy drama set in a rural potato research institute. The story follows Kim Mi Kyeong (Lee Sun Bin), a researcher whose life revolves entirely around potatoes, and So Baek Ho (Kang Tae Oh), a cold and principled corporate director. When So Baek Ho unexpectedly enters Kim Mi Kyeongâs world, the two find themselves entangled in a whirlwind romance.
The newly released stills capture So Baek Ho wearing an immaculate suite with a radiant smile. With a bouquet of flowers, So Baek Ho creates a warm and approachable atmosphere, but he is actually a cold-hearted man who only goes by the books. Thus, when he does not smile, he shows his cold and strict nature, as shown in a still where he holds someone down, exuding great charisma.
However, another photo captures So Baek Ho looking disheveled, completely unlike his usual self, making viewers curious to find out what has happened and what changes he will face at the potato research institute.
