Travis Kelce Went Straight to Taylor Swift’s Arms After the Chiefs’ Sweeping Loss at the Super Bowl
He had a shoulder to cry on.
Like any year, the Super Bowl LIX was a day of soaring wins and devastating losses. With an end game of 40 vs 22, the Kansas City Chiefs failed to score a “three-peat” against the Philadelphia Eagles. So, as Eagles players and fans celebrated in Philadelphia and around the country, the Chiefs’ star player Travis Kelce sulked into the arms of his girlfriend, Taylor Swift.
Seen in a few videos after the Chiefs’ loss, Kelce changed out of gear and into a brown shimmering suit and made his way slowly to Swift’s VIP Box at New Orleans’ Caesars Superdome. From his demeanor and stride, it’s safe to say Kelce was feeling quite disappointed and defeated.

In one of the videos shared by E! News, Kelce barely responded when the reporter screamed, “We love you, Trav.” Instead of responding, he winks at the camera. Looks like he was sad, and exhausted too.
In addition to seeing Swift and getting her support, Kelce also met other familiar faces in the VIP Box too. Among Swift’s guests were Kelce’s parents Donna and Ed, Kelce’s brother Jason and his wife Kylie, WNBA star Caitlin Clark, rapper Ice Spice, and singing trio Alana, Este & Danielle Haim from Haim.

In yesterday’s game, Swift was shown less on TV and the jumbotron – likely because of the Chiefs’ underwhelming performance. Plus, when Swift and Ice Spice were shown on the Jumbotron during the first half, they were met with a loud chorus of boos.
The boos took Swift by surprise. As a native of West Reading, Pennsylvania, we’re guessing Swift wasn’t expecting the Eagles crowd to turn on her so strongly. “What is going on?” she asked Ice Spice sitting next to her.
As for Kelce, the Chiefs tight-end expressed his disappointment with the game in a post-game interview. “Hats off to the Eagles, they got after us, all three phases,” Kelce said. When asked about the most shocking part of the match, Kelce sighed and said, “That we haven’t played that bad all year.”
Here’s hoping Swift and Kelce will continue to rely on each other in this major defeat.
