Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce has expressed excitement over Donald Trump attending Super Bowl LIX, a statement that could put him at odds with his girlfriend, Taylor Swift.
The pop superstar has been vocal in her political stance, openly endorsing Kamala Harris, while Trump has previously made his disdain for Swift clear.

During Wednesday's media availability, Kelce was asked about Trump's attendance and gave an enthusiastic response.
"That's awesome. It's a great honor,"Kelce, 35, said.
"I think you know, no matter who the president is, I know I'm excited because it's the biggest game of my life, you know, and having the president there - it's the best country in the world - and that's pretty cool."

His remarks come despite Trump's past criticism of Swift, including a blunt social media post where he stated, "I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT."
However, with Swift a known supporter of the Chiefs, the two may now find themselves rooting for the same team.
Kelce wasn't the only Chiefs star to acknowledge Trump's presence at the Super Bowl. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who has led the Chiefs to their third straight championship appearance, also commented on Trump's recent praise.
When asked to pick a team, Trump had subtly hinted at supporting Mahomes, saying, "I don't want to say, but there's a certain quarterback that seems to be a pretty good winner."
Mahomes, when informed of Trump's remarks, responded, "I didn't see that clip, but obviously it's cool to hear that he's seen me play football and respects the game that I play. It's always cool to be able to play in front of a sitting president, someone in the top position in our country."
Trump's attendance at the game has added a political undercurrent, particularly given the divided loyalties within the Chiefs' circle.
While Swift has publicly backed Harris, Mahomes' wife, Brittany, has been a vocal Trump supporter.
In fact, Trump acknowledged her support in a post leading up to his re-election victory over Harris in November.
"I want to thank beautiful Brittany Mahomes for so strongly defending me, and the fact that MAGA is the greatest and most powerful Political Movement in the History of our now Failing Country," he wrote on Truth Social before ending with, "See you both at the Super Bowl!"
Meanwhile, the Chiefs' ownership family has also shown support for Trump.
Tavia Hunt, the wife of Chiefs owner Clark Hunt, previously expressed backing for Trump's border policies, and their daughter Gracie Hunt called Trump's Super Bowl attendance "pretty cool" and "absolutely incredible."
With Swift expected to be at the game and Trump's presence confirmed, the Super Bowl could carry more intrigue than just the on-field action.
While Kelce and Mahomes focus on making history with an unprecedented "three-peat," the political dynamics in the stands could prove just as entertaining.
