Tyson Fury's manager reveals details of phone call with boxing icon after retirement announcement
The Gypsy King has hung up his gloves
Tyson Fury's manager, Spencer Brown, has revealed he's spoken to the boxing icon after he announced his retirement to the world on Monday.
The British heavyweight icon took to Instagram to reveal that he'd be hanging up his gloves, just weeks after his second defeat to Oleksandr Usyk in Saudi Arabia.
Not everybody is buying it, however.
After all, Fury has retired from boxing before - only to come back. And while there's talk of a showdown with Anthony Joshua, it's hard to see the 36-year-old walking away from one of the biggest showdowns in the sport's entire history.

According to Brown, Fury decided to announce his retirement without speaking to anybody else first.
And he's also claimed that the Briton doesn't seem willing to return to the sport just yet, despite the rumours rumbling on behind the scenes.
"No I can tell you that we didn't have a prior conversation [before the video was released]," he told The Ring.
"He went for a coffee as he usually does, and he probably sat there and decided to do it.

"He rung me afterwards and said, 'I've just let the cat out the bag I'm retiring Spencer'.
"I said to him, 'thanks for letting me know!', he said, 'You'd have only talked me out of it.'
"I would have liked to see him perhaps go one more, but no. But it is like being stabbed when watching him fight, it's horrible."
Brown also spoke to Beyond Radio about Fury's decision to retire.

And he's vowed to ring the boxing legend 'every day' to make sure he adjusts to life outside of the ring.
"It's been such a privilege to work with him. I love the man to death," he revealed.
"I'll ring him every day. I'll still remain his manager and we will just see what happens in the future.
"He might go into films. He might be a wrestler. Who knows what he's going to do? You never know with Tyson Fury.]
