There’s good news for Trigger Point fans as ITV has announced that filming for the third series has officially begun. Actress Vicky McClure will be reprising her role as Expo Lana Washington for the six-part series.
Also returning to the hit show will be cast members Eric Shango, Nabil Elouahabi, Natalie Simpson and Maanuv Thiara. The broadcaster has also revealed the third series will feature guest star Jason Flemyng.
Speaking about returning to the show, Vicky showed nothing other than excitement. She said: “Trigger Point is back! We're all so excited to get going. Having had such a positive response to the previous two series, we want to make this new series even more exciting, keep everyone on the edge of their seats whilst getting to know even more about the brilliant characters in the show.
“Lana is such a complex character to play, it’s a joy for an actor to play a role with as many layers as Lana.”

Following the success of its first series, Trigger Point’s second season was also well-received when it aired in 2024. On average, it gained 8.1 million viewers and was streamed 30m times on ITVX.
It became the second most watched drama on the broadcaster, with Mr Bates vs The Post Office taking the top spot. Although no release date has been announces, a small synopsis for the upcoming series teases there’s more twists and turns on the horizon.
It reads: “Lana Washington and her team investigate a bomb threat that soon reveals itself to be the start of a sinister vendetta: someone is targeting individuals and demanding revenge.
