WATCH: Trump Shreds WEF's 'Ridiculous' Agenda Right To Their Faces

President Donald Trump took the virtual stage at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland, delivering an address that left global elites uncomfortable.
Speaking directly to the gathered dignitaries and business leaders, Trump wasted no time in calling out the forum’s progressive agenda, offering a reprimand of policies he described as “ridiculous” and “wasteful.” During his speech, Trump highlighted his administration’s past efforts to roll back excessive climate regulations and reaffirmed his commitment to policies that prioritize economic freedom over globalist initiatives.
Trump also stressed the need for increased defense spending from NATO allies and discussed the challenges posed by steep U.S. tariffs and ongoing conflicts in the Middle East. Additionally, he expressed his desire to reduce global oil prices, interest rates, and taxes and cautioned business leaders about potential tariffs on products manufactured overseas.
“I terminated the ridiculous and incredibly wasteful Green New Deal. I call it the Green New Scam,” Trump said to world leaders Thursday. “[I] withdrew from the one-sided Paris Climate Accord and ended the insane and costly electric vehicle mandate. We’re going to let people buy the car they want to buy.”

Davos is an annual meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) held in the Swiss town of Davos. The event gathers global political leaders, business executives, academics, and other influential figures to discuss pressing economic, social, and environmental issues. The forum is known for promoting initiatives related to climate change, global cooperation, and economic policies, often criticized by conservatives for advocating progressive and globalist agendas.
The former president didn’t stop at climate policies; he also directly targeted diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, which have become a hallmark of corporate and government programs worldwide.
“My administration has taken action to abolish all discriminatory diversity, equity, and inclusion nonsense,” Trump said. “These are policies that were absolute nonsense throughout the government and the private sector. With the recent yet somewhat unexpected great Supreme Court decision just made, America will once again become a merit-based country. You have to hear that word. Merit-based country. And I’ve made it official, an official policy of the United States.”
Trump’s unapologetic stance extended to cultural issues as well, taking a firm position on gender policies. “There are only two genders, male and female. And we will have no men participating in women’s sports, and transgender operations, which became the rage, will occur very rarely,” he continued.

Trump began his second term on Monday, becoming the first president since Grover Cleveland to serve non-consecutive terms. Early actions include eliminating the CBP One app, deploying troops to the southern border, and imposing new tariffs on Chinese goods. Trump has also reversed electric vehicle mandates and withdrawn from the Paris climate agreement.
Domestically, the House passed the Laken Riley Act on immigrant detention, marking his first legislative victory. Trump’s administration has also launched a $100 billion AI initiative while taking a measured approach to technology regulations, including pausing the TikTok ban. His swift policy moves and focus on campaign promises seem to have set the tone for his second term.
Trump’s speech, celebrated by his supporters, sent a clear message to the WEF and its proponents that Trump’s America will not subscribe to their vision of global governance. As Trump continues to position himself for another potential term, his address in Davos makes it clear that he remains as defiant and unfiltered as ever.
