Dua Lipa brought out Tame Impalaâs Kevin Parker for a cover of âThe Less I Know The Betterâ during her show in Sydney.
The duet came midway through the set, when Lipa said, âI get to sing one of my favourite songs ever with one of my favourite artists,â before Parker walked out on the stage. The pair then started singing the 2015 song together.
AdvertisementLipa and Parker have worked together closely before, as he was one of the main producers on her latest album âRadical Optimismâ. This wasnât the first time the duo sang together, as the pop singer previously brought Parker out during her headlining slot at last yearâs edition of Glastonbury, with the two duetting on the song then.
In an interview with The Guardian, published in July, Parker spoke more about that moment, saying that it was âway more wild than I thought it was gonna beâ.
âThe nicest thing about it was that it was Dua headlining Glastonbury, which is something she has wanted to do since she was a kid,â he added. âI felt like I had a seat in someoneâs dream that they were living â I was just happy to be a part of it.â
Lipaâs tour of Australia is in support of âRadical Optimismâ and during her gigs down under, sheâs recently covered Kylie Minogueâs âCanât Get You Out Of My Headâ, Natalie Imbrugliaâs âTornâ and AC/DCâs âHighway To Hellâ.
RecommendedParker isnât the only Australian guest Lipa has brought out, as she was joined by Vance Joy for a cover of âRiptideâ at one of her recent Melbourne shows, and by Troye Sivan for a duet of âRushâ at another.
Lipa will be heading over to the UK for even more live shows this summer, kicking off the run with two huge concerts at Londonâs Wembley Stadium (June 20, 21) followed by two dates at Anfield Stadium in Liverpool on June 24 and 25.
In other Dua Lipa-related news, she won the dismissal of a lawsuit that had accused her of copying her 2020 hit track âLevitatingâ from two other songs. Back in 2022, the pop star was sued by songwriters L Russell Brown and Sandy Linzer who claimed that Lipa had plagiarised their songs â 1979âs âWiggle And Giggle All Nightâ and 1980âs âDon Diabloâ while creating âLevatiatingâ.
