Fans of The White Lotus have been left gobsmacked after discovering Walton Goggins' real name. The actor plays the role of Rick Hatchett in the popular Netflix drama, but viewers were stunned by the latest revelation.
After it was announced the Hollywood star, 53, would be appearing on Saturday Night Live, fans took to social media to share their confusion by his real name. Taking to Twitter/X, fans shared their belief that he had been using a stage name all this time.

"DamnâŚ.his name Walton Goggins??? This whole time I thought his name was Walter Goggins lol,"confessed one.

"I've been in love since Righteous Gemstones season 1 and I am JUST learning it is in fact WALTON??? Brb while I take attention to detail off my resume. Walton I am so sorry my love."

The actor was indeed born Walton Goggins, despite fans initially thinking otherwise.
His upcoming stint on the long-running stateside satire show comes after they took aim at his Whit Lotus co-star Aimee Lou Wood. It was announced this week that he would be in the lineup for the 50th season, as too was Scarlett Johansson's involvement.
The show was shrouded in controversy due to a recent skit involving Aimee. The actress has always been proud of her teeth but, in a cruel SNL skit, Sarah Sherman impersonated her whilst using exaggerated prosthetic teeth. The sketch was of US President Donald Trump and his team spending time at the fictional White Lotus hotel.

The British actress has openly spoken about her teeth in the past, but this time, she didnât hesitate to express her disappointment over the SNL skit. She took to her Instagram Stories to say that while she didnât mind being made fun of âwhen itâs clever and in good spiritsâ there âmust be a cleverer, more nuanced, less cheap wayâ to do so.
âI did find the âSNLâ thing mean and unfunny xo. (Felt righteous, might delete later)," she said before adding: "Such a shame cuz I had such a great time watching it a couple of weeks ago. Yes, take the p*** for sure - thatâs what the show is about - but there must be a cleverer, more nuanced, less cheap way?."
Aimee later showcased Sarah sending her flowers following her upset over the skit. Walton and Aimee Lou are rumoured to be feuding and Walton initially prised the sketch. In a now deleted post, he wrote: "Hahahahahhahaha. Amazzzingggg."
Article continues belowEagle-eyed fans recently noticed Aimee and Walton were no longer following each other on social media, with some suggesting he had blocked her.
The alleged blocking appears to have come out of nowhere after previously describing Aimee as a âvery special person in my lifeâ in an interview with The Telegraph.
