Actor Whoopi Goldberg further showcased the results of her weight loss whilst at Paris Fashion Week recently.
Whoopi, 69 - who is among the small number of people to have an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony Award, known collectively as EGOT - was at a fashion show in France on Wednesday. She attended fashion designer Alexandre Mattiussi's latest presentation for his brand AMI after being the face of a campaign for it towards the end of last year.
She opted to wear a black coat dress and matching boots as part of her outfit for the menswear event in Paris this week. She accessorised the look with a black handbag in photos taken whilst she was in attendance for the show.
Speaking about her attendance, she told Women's Wear Daily that she was "very happy" to be there. Whoopi said: "They were kind enough to ask me if I would come and I said yes. [...] People seem to be all right with me here, and I seem to be OK with them so far. So it's all good."
Whoopi showcased her figure at the event after having previously shared that she used medication as part of her efforts to lose weight a few years ago. She's stated that she weighed around 21 stone prior to taking Mounjaro. She's said to have weighed close to 21 stone when working on the film Till (2022), which is said to have begun filming in 2021.

According to a website for the product, Mounjaro - which is a brand of anti-diabetic drug tirzepatide - is an "injectable prescription medicine that is used along with diet and exercise to improve blood sugar (glucose) in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus." Although it's noted that it can contribute to weight loss, it states that Mounjaro is "not a weight loss drug".
It's however understood to have been approved as part of weight management measures in some places. The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) in the UK, for example, announced in December last year that it recommends tirzepatide as "as an option for managing overweight and obesity, alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity in adults" in certain circumstances though. It's expected that Mounjaro will become available on the NHS for certain patients this year.

Whoopi has spoken on several occasions about having taken Mounjaro. She said on ABC's the View in June last year: "I took Mounjaro. [...] I say it all the time because you can't go from close to 300lbs without somebody saying 'okay what happened?'"
As previously reported, she had said months prior in March: "I weighed almost 300lbs when I made Till. I had taken all those steroids, I was on all this stuff, and one of the things that's helped me drop the weight is the Mounjaro. That's what I use."
More recently, Whoopi said whilst on the Don Lemon Show in May that she had gained weight after taking steroids to address a back problem, She said: "I had issues with my lower back a couple of years ago. It got progressive worse. They do an operation and fixed it, but it just wasn't doing what it needed it to do, so they started giving me steroids. And over the course of almost two years I probably weighed 300 ... close to 300lbs when I did Till."
Amid discussion around weight loss and medication being used for weight management, Whoopi has encouraged people to not judge each other. She said on an episode of the View last year: "Stop judging everybody".
