Why Kylie Jenner Didn't Join Timothée Chalamet at 'SNL'
Timothée Chalamet pulled double duty hosting and performing Bob Dylan songs at his 'Saturday Night Live' appearance on January 25. While the 'A Complete Unknown' actor welcomed guests like Adam Sandler and Lin-Manuel Miranda, fans noticed that Kylie Jenner appeared not to join him for the show or after-party.
Timothée Chalamet flexed both his comedic and singing chops as he made his highly-anticipated Saturday Night Live appearance on January 25. The A Complete Unknown actor–who’s been recently channeling the iconic musician with his retro-esque wardrobe and facial hair–continued to lean into his Bob Dylan era by performing “Tomorrow Is a Long Time” as well as a medley of "Outlaw Blues” and "Three Angels” as part of his SNL hosting and performing duties. In between orchestrating a cameo from Hamilton’s Lin-Manuel Miranda during the cold open to getting his name roasted by surprise guest Adam Sandler, Chalamet made his third time hosting SNL a memorable one–minus one important guest. Viewers were quick to notice that his girlfriend Kylie Jenner wasn’t there as the Dune actor headed to the SNL after-party to celebrate post-gig.
Fans were split on whether Jenner made an appearance during the actual show portion, as one Reddit user shared a video they claimed was the makeup mogul sitting in the audience on the top level. While the clip was taken from the back and shows a woman with long layered dark hair and an all-white outfit, the Redditor argued that Kylie revealed she was wearing white in a snap shared to her Instagram Story. She was also sitting next to a dark-haired woman wearing black, possibly Maria Maria Swim founder Victoria Helena Villarroel, whom she tagged in her Instagram Story outfit post.

However, Kylie also shared a photo of a woman holding a can of “Sprinter in the wild” (Jenner’s canned seltzer brand) on her Instagram Story, and the dark brown felt chairs looked like different seating than the neon green chairs that were shown in the Reddit user’s video. It’s very possible that Jenner–who recently announced a new Khy fashion drop as well as new marketing for Sprinter–was just busy juggling work obligations after her recent Aspen getaway with sister Kendall, daughter Stormi, and Hailey Bieber.

Jenner was in the audience during Chalamet’s last SNL appearance in 2023, and was spotted heading to the after-party to join him. While it appeared that she wasn’t able to make his latest gig, Chalamet playfully alluded to his last public appearance with his girlfriend–their PDA-packed display at the 2025 Golden Globe Awards–as he poked fun at his losing track record at awards shows.

Chalamet joked that he "keeps losing,” adding, "Each time it gets harder to pretend it doesn’t sting.”
