Will Ferrell and Reese Witherspoon have come under fire after making comments about what they would ban from a wedding.
The duo have been on the promotional trail to publicise the release of their new romantic comedy, You're Cordially Invited - which involves hilarious scenes after their characters discover the venue that they have booked a wedding at is double booked. Will, 57, and Reese, 48, have been discussing all things weddings in order to bring attention to their new film - which is streaming on Amazon.
The film is directed by British comedy director star Nicholas Stoller - who was also behind Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Muppets Most Wanted, and more. However, Will and Reese have attracted scorn after taking part in a lighthearted interview in which they seemingly exposed their "out of touch" personalities.
The pair were asked what they would ban from a wedding - but their answer has not sat well with fans. Footage from the interview has circulated via TikTok - showing Will wearing a heavy weight brown shirt with a black coat, while Reese sat in a black jumper.

In the interview for Buzzfeed, the stars were asked: "What do you wish you could ban from weddings forever?" Will immediately replied: "Cash bar." Agreeing, Reese added: "Thatâs not nice, thatâs rude. Thatâs in really poor taste."
However, their comments have startled their fans - who think it is an outrage that two millionaires would complain about having to pay for a drink or two. One fan wrote in response to the footage: "Calling a cash bar rude just shows how rich you are. Having a wedding is celebrating a marriage not free drinks."
Another commented: "Hang on, why wouldnât you pay for drinks youâre buying at a wedding? In UK Iâve never been to one where itâs a free bar. Is this a yank or very rich out of touch person thing?" And another typed: "So if I canât afford to pay for a full bar service itâs rude?? Cool cool."
Even more were shocked by the response of the actors, with one questioning: "Does Will Ferrell really get invited to weddings that have a cash bar?" Another writing: "Tell me youâre out of touch without telling me youâre out of touch." And another colourfully wrote: "Celebrities complaining about a cash bar is f**king wild."
As the Q&A session continued, Will added: "I know someone, they ran out of food at the wedding." This shocked Reese, who stated: "No. That is a really bad one." And Will confirmed: "Itâs a no no."
In the last week, also while promoting the film, Reese revealed she had dramatically fallen out with a British A-List actress when she accidentally insulted her during an awards ceremony. She revealed to People: "So this friend of mine â who I didnât really know that well, but she was a very serious, proper actress â she asked me to give her an award.
âSo I got up and I roasted her... The tone [of the gala] was British and elegant and classy... And I was like, âRemember the time we got laser hair removal?!â ... Weâre not friends anymore. Iâm not even kidding â weâre not friends anymore. I think she doesnât like me anymore." Fans quickly theorised that the actress in question is Kate Winslet - who Reese presented an award to at the 2007 BAFTA/LA Cunard Britannia Awards.
