This was the moment William and Kate shared a sweet moment with Southport hero Leanne Lucas during a royal visit to the devastated town.
The Prince and Princess met with those affected by the tragedy back in October on a heartfelt visit to show the community had not been forgotten following the attack which killed three girls at a Taylor Swift-themed dance and yoga class. Bebe King, six, Elsie Dot Stancombe, seven and nine-year-old Alice da Silva Aguiar were murdered in the knife rampage on the event at the town's Hart Space studios.
Leanne Lucas, 36, who was leading the yoga class and was stabbed as she courageously shielded terrified children, shared touching photos of the visit on a Facebook reel, in which the royals shared hugs and chatted with victims and their families, as well as meeting with brave emergency service workers.

In the previously unseen images, which she has now shared on social media, class leader Leanne stands smiling next to the Prince and Princess, and can be seen sharing a hug with William and Kate separately, with both looking visibly moved by their visit. The couple spent 90 minutes chatting with the families during the visit on October 10, which was their first official joint engagement since Kate's cancer treatment.
They also walked the short distance to the scene of the tragedy, where they met with emergency responders and health practitioners to hear their experiences. William told the responders: “You’re all heroes. Please make sure you look after yourselves, please take your time, don’t rush back to work.”
In a post to the couple's Kensington Royal social media accounts, they said: “Meeting the community today has been a powerful reminder of the importance of supporting one another in the wake of unimaginable tragedy.” It's understood the visit had initially been for William to undertake alone before Kate decided to join as a show of support for the town.

Leanne was one of the 10 people - eight of whom being children - who Axel Rudakubana tried to murder in the spree of violence on July 29. She was rushed to hospital where she battled for her life, enduring multiple rounds of surgery in three hospital stays.
In her harrowing statement read in court last month, Leanne recounted how she had experienced "horrendous" trauma and was "trying to see the goodness in the world". She also told how she believed the class was targeted "because we were women and girls, vulnerable and easy prey".
During the visit, Kate was asked how the bereaved families were coping, and replied: “They’re okay. They’re managing it differently. All the families are so different. Individually too they are managing it and processing this tragic event in very different ways, but they’re getting support from families and officers and things like that.”

After the visit, Phil Garrigan, chief fire officer for Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service, said: “The Princess of Wales broke off and came back into the building to give a hug to the people who responded because she could see the emotion in them and could see it was difficult for them to relay their feelings and to say how impactful events have been. I think that just shows a really caring side and is very very touching for them.”
Leanne also shared pictures with Taylor Swift herself, after victims and bereaved families were invited to the Eras Tour at Wembley last year as a token of love from the megastar. It comes as the parents of Elsie Dot Stancombe told this week how they were touched by the gesture, saying the youngster's dreams "would have come true" knowing the Fortnight singer knew her.
Elsie's dad David told Good Morning Britain that the singer asked to see pictures of their daughter and kept some. The parents said: "It was quite overwhelming but it was, it felt like we needed to do it. It was all these little glimmers that we had to try and find, we needed to find some light in the dark and it was."
