A woman suffered a broken back after being thrown from a quadbike in a Scots forest.
The 27-year-old, from the Dalmellington area, in East Ayrshire, was rushed to hospital in Glasgow following the accident near Loch Trool in the Galloway Forest.
The incident happened around 9pm on Saturday night when the quadbike on which the woman was a passenger collided with some boulders.
The woman was thrown from the quad and suffered a broken left shoulder blade and three fractured vertebrae.

Police and Galloway Mountain Rescue were also called out to remove the woman on a stretcher before handing her over to the Scottish Ambulance Service.
Police have confirmed that a 36-year-old man from Dalmellington was arrested and charged in connection with a number of road traffic offences before being released.
