Yoo Yeon Seok Loses His Cool When Chae Soo Bin Ends Up In Danger On “When The Phone Rings”
MBC’s “When the Phone Rings” has shared an intriguing glimpse of its eventful next episode!
Based on a popular web novel, “When the Phone Rings” tells the story of Baek Sa Eon (Yoo Yeon Seok) and Hong Hee Joo (Chae Soo Bin), a couple that married for convenience—and the the romance that blossoms between them after a threatening phone call.

On the previous episode of “When the Phone Rings,” Baek Sa Eon fell into confusion after learning that the mystery caller might be none other than Hong Hee Joo. Troubled by his new knowledge, Sa Eon drank too much at their team dinner—and when Hee Joo was trying to help him into their apartment, she wound up falling on Sa Eon and accidentally locking lips with him for the first time.
In newly released stills from the drama’s upcoming episode, the couple goes on a team outing together with their other co-workers. Although no one knows that the two are a married couple, Sa Eon insists on remaining by Hee Joo’s side, using team unity and communication as an excuse. While Hee Joo is unable to hide her awkwardness at Sa Eon’s behavior, the two wind up forming a team and having fun playing games together.
However, the outing soon takes an unexpected turn due to an urgent situation. The normally composed Sa Eon is seen looking shocked and panicked, and when the crisis isn’t resolved, he loses his cool in front of the rescue team.
His uncharacteristic behavior—along with the distraught look on Hee Joo’s face—raises the question of what sort of danger has befallen her.
The “When the Phone Rings” production team teased, “Through this outing, Sa Eon and Hee Joo’s will-they-won’t-they romance will heat up even more. What will Sa Eon do now that he knows that threatening caller 406 is actually Hee Joo? Please make sure to tune in to see his explosive pure love.”
The next episode of “When the Phone Rings” will air on December 14 at 9:40 p.m. KST!
