David Schwimmer blasted Elon Musk on Saturday for allowing Kanye West to use his platform X, formerly Twitter, to make more “hate filled” antisemitic (along with more racist and misogynistic) statements. In the past week, West has recently taken to X to reiterate more of the hateful antisemitic rants that got him banned from the platform previously.

In an Instagram post, Schwimmer addressed the DOGE leader directly. “This is so 2022. We can’t stop a deranged bigot from spewing hate filled, ignorant bile… but we CAN stop giving him a megaphone, Mr. Musk,” he wrote, pointing out that West has 32.7 million followers (West is currently at 32.9 followers).

“That’s twice as many people than the number of Jews in existence,” he added. “His sick hate speech results in REAL LIFE violence against Jews.”

Schwimmer called out specific posts Ye had recently made and since deleted on X to illustrate, including, “Jewish people actually hate white people and use black people” and “I love Hitler Now what bitches,” among them.

“I don’t know what’s worse, the fact that he identifies as a Nazi (which implies he wants to exterminate ALL marginalized communities including his own), or the fact that there is not sufficient OUTRAGE to remove and ban him from all social media at this point,” Schwimmer continued, before closing with: “Silence is complicity.”

Back in December 2022, Ye was on a similar antisemitic tear, which included a post with an image of a swastika intertwined with a Star of David, which prompted Musk to ban Ye at the time.

So far, though, Musk has not banned Ye and according to one of the rapper’s tweets, they were in contact as recently as a week ago, texting about such important things as posting pictures of products and product videos.

Ye also appears to feel unfettered by any criticism on his latest rants, nor does it look like he’s concerned about Musk responding negatively when it comes to Ye and X, posting on Friday, “I gotta give Elon his flowers for allowing my fuckery It’s a whole new world I gotta say Elons a real n—a for this.”
