Ewan McGregor left terrified for family after stalker hell
Court documents reveal the Trainspotting star told how Angelica Gorentz believes she is in a relationship with him and his second wife, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, stole him from her.
Scots Hollywood star Ewan McGregor has filed for a restraining order to protect his family after alleged incidents involving a stalker. In court documents filed in Los Angeles, where he sought a restraining order, McGregor reported Angelica Gorentz had sent hundreds of “disturbing” messages since 2022 to his daughter Esther, 23.
He also told how Gorentz believes she is in a relationship with him and his second wife, actress Mary Elizabeth Winstead, stole him away from her. Gorentz is allegedly referred to wanting to have children by the Star Wars and Trainspotting actor — telling him: “I only need your balls to have kids with you with IVF not your fg d*k.”

McGregor claimed Gorentz drove from Minnesota to California where she appeared at his ex-wife Eve Mavrakis’s home on Christmas Eve while the dad of five was there with family. The legal papers report she was able to access the garden before being ordered to leave and as she drove off, she crashed into a wall twice.
Following the terrifying alleged incident Gorentz is said to have taken things further with threats referencing serial killer TV show Dexter. She allegedly mentioned buying guns, including a sniper rifle, and threatened to kill Winstead.
A judge granted McGregor, of Crieff, Perthshire, a temporary court order that tells Gorentz to stay away. He is seeking a full civil harassment restraining order against her for himself, his wife, four daughters and son.
