It’s crunch time for both Feyenoord and Bayern Munich when they meet at De Kuip in the Champions League.
Feyenoord have ten points from their six Champions League matches. Two wins from their final two fixtures could see them sneak into the top eight. But two defeats could see them fail to make it into the top 24.
The Dutch team has failed to match the standards met under the departed Arne Slot and is having a mixed season in the Eredivisie.
Last season’s runners-up currently sit 4th in the table with 36 points. They are ten behind leaders PSV after 19 matchweeks.
Furthermore, Feyenoord are three without a win in the league and in danger of dropping out of the European qualifying places.
The stuttering league form has left head coach Brian Priske under pressure.
It was never going to be easy replacing Arne Slott. But even allowing for a slight downturn in fortunes after Slot left for Liverpool, the consensus is that things aren’t quite going to plan for Priske.
A win over Bayern Munich would be the ideal tonic. But given their recent domestic form, something drastic needs to change for that to happen.
On a positive note for Brian Priske, his team hasn’t been afraid to mix it in Europe this season.
Wins have come against Girona (3-2), Benfica (3-1) and Sparta Prague (4-2). Defeats have come against Leverkusen (4-0) and RB Salzburg (3-1). And who can forget that spectacular 3-3 draw with Manchester City at the Etihad?
Munich are on 12 points in the Champions League group table. They sit just outside the top eight and know two wins should be enough to finish in the top eight and avoid the two-legged Round of 16 playoffs.
Following on from a visit to the Netherlands, Bayern will host Slovan Bratislava, so head coach Vincent Kompany will know that his team still has a great chance of progressing straight to the knockout stages and avoiding a fixture pile-up.
Bayern started their Champions League campaign with a spectacular 9-2 win over Dinamo Zagreb on Matchday 1.
A 1-0 defeat away at Aston Villa followed, and then Munich were thrashed 4-1 by Barcelona in their next outing.
Since the back-to-back defeats, Bayern regrouped to beat both Benfica and PSG by 1-0 score lines. On Matchday 6 they looked more like their old selves when they thrashed Shakhtar Donetsk 5-1.
Domestically, the Bavarians have seen their lead at the top of the Bundesliga cut to just four points in recent weeks. A 2-1 defeat away to Mainz on Matchday 14 allowed Champions Leverkusen to close the gap.
Kompany’s team has responded with four consecutive victories in the league. But Alonso’s Leverkusen have matched them point-for-point, and are not going anywhere.
The pressure being applied domestically by Leverkusen makes the Feyenoord clash huge for Kompany.

Munich is as short as 4/11 in the betting to beat Feyenoord. The German giants are expected to make light work of the out-of-form Eredivisie team. Please read on for more of our Feyenoord vs Bayern Munich betting tips:
Feyenoord has scored in five of their six Champions League matches this season. The only time Brian Priske’s team failed to find the back of the net was in their opening fixture against Lerkusen.
Since then The Pride of Rotterdam has scored 14 goals in just five matches. It’s fair to say that they found their feet at this level following the loss to the German champions.

Feyenoord can find the net again against Munich. The problem for Priske is we expect Bayern to find the back of his team’s net more often.
Kompany will also know how important winning this match is and we see him taking it seriously.
⚽ Back a Bayern win with both teams to score at 6/4 with Sky Bet ⚽
There have been over 3.5 goals in all six of Feyenoord’s Champions League fixtures this season, with 29 goals scored in total.
Bayern’s six UCL outings have resulted in 25 goals at both ends. But there have been three 1-0 scores included in their run of matches.
In recent weeks, Bayern seem to have returned to their goal scoring best in Germany. Since the defeat to Mainz, the Bavarians have scored 20 goals in their following four Bundesliga matches.
If Bayern gets on top, it could be a one-sided rout. When Munich got on top of vastly inferior opposition earlier in the group stages, they put nine past Zagreb and five past Shakhtar.
We can see the same happening when they face the Dutchmen.
⚽ Back over 3.5 goals in the match at even money with Betfred ⚽
No Bayern Munich rout is complete without a goal from Harry Kane.
The England skipper is as short as 8/13 to score with some bookies. But we’ve sourced one paying 4/5.
Kane has been slowly rebuilding his fitness since his return from injury. He hasn’t been at his sharpest in his four matches since he returned, with his two goals both coming from the penalty spot
That won’t last forever. Kane will start banging them in again from open play soon enough.
Against a Feyenoord team that is renowned for goals at both ends of the pitch in the Champions League, this could be the ideal fixture for Kane to get up and running again.
⚽ Harry Kane to score anytime at 4/5 with bet365 ⚽
Location: Feyenoord Stadium, Rotterdam, Netherlands.
