In January, it emerged that the second season of his AppleTV series, The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin, was cancelled after Noel, 51, withdrew from the production.
It is believed that health concerns prompted his withdrawal, as he did not resume filming post-Christmas break. With just weeks left to complete the series, the production team was left in the lurch by the unexpected halt, reports the Mirror.
At the time, Noel's representative stated: "This is a private and confidential matter regarding our client's health. We are saddened by the decision to cease production but we cannot make any further comment on this matter."

The Mirror takes a closer look at the developments since...
Concerns about Noel's health surfaced following the abrupt cancellation of The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin. The series, which debuted on the streaming service last year, is known for its "irreverent retelling" of the life of the infamous highwayman Dick Turpin, starring Noel in the lead role.
‌
A second season had been confirmed back in July.
At the beginning of this year, there was a palpable sense of discontent among some colleagues following the decision to halt filming. A source disclosed to The Times: "Noel has said that he can't film anymore and so there was no choice but to stop."
They further emphasised that this resolution wasn't made hastily and it wouldn't have reached "this extreme result" if all other avenues hadn't been "exhausted".
‌
The insider also mentioned: "People have been very concerned about Noel's wellbeing and given him time to recover but there are also significant repercussions."
In a chilling revelation, Noel shared with Metro a particularly harrowing experience on set while working on The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin.
‌
As a 51 year old executive producer and actor in the series, he recounted the most daunting scene where his character Dirk Turpin faced execution by hanging.
Despite being assured of safety protocols, Noel confessed: "That was my most hairy moment, when I had a rope around my neck and like a trapdoor system is going to drop and I was going to be hanged and they assured me I was on a wire but you know, the mental weirdness of that, the feeling."
He elaborated on the ordeal: "You're just like, 'Oh god, I hope this rope isn't an inch too short....you've got your hands behind your back, you've got a rope around your neck and the floor's going to give. It's quite scary. So now I know what it will be like to be hanged. But luckily I was saved at the last minute.'".
‌
Noel Fielding has kept a low profile lately, sparking concerns about his health, but he recently made a rare and playful public appearance at a Kasabian Brits Week gig. As he took the stage, Noel joked that he and Dame Prue Leith had been doing Jager bombs backstage.
Frontman Sergio Pizzorno welcomed him with a shout of "get loose get loose" from their song Vlad The Impaler.
‌
During his brief time on stage, Noel grasped the microphone and shouted "Shepherd's Bush" followed by "Shepherd's Boosh", referencing his comedy series The Mighty Boosh, co-created with Julian Barratt. He quipped, "It's all kicking off backstage, me and Prue just did Jager bombs, Prue Leith"

Just a fortnight prior, Noel was spotted in high spirits, flashing a wide smile while out and about in North London.
He was seen wearing a black faux fur jacket, a Drop Dead t-shirt, denim jeans, and burgundy boots, as he and his wife, Lliana Bird, met up with friends in the capital.
