'Snow White' Through the Years: Cartoon Voice, Kristen Stewart, Lily Collins and Rachel Zegler
ET breaks down Snow White through the years, from Walt Disney’s 1937 animated musical, to live-action films with Kristen Stewart, Rachel Zegler and more. Adriana Caselotti, whose sing-song voice in ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarves' set the template for decades of adaptations, recalled her year-long audition process and the movie’s famed premiere at the Carthay Circle Theatre. Ginnifer Goodwin told ET about her ‘incredible experience’ playing the dual roles of Snow White and Storybrooke’s counterpart, Mary Margaret Blanchard, on ABC’s ‘Once Upon a Time.' In 2012, Stewart and Lily Collins starred in two very different big-screen takes on the classic fairytale, in ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’ and ‘Mirror Mirror.’ In her behind-the-scenes interview, the ‘Twilight’ star admitted Snow’s trademark happiness was rubbing off on her and shared what she laughed about the most between takes with co-star Chris Hemsworth. Collins explained what she and Julia Roberts learned about their characters while filming, and revealed which costume she wanted to steal from the set. Along the multi-year production journey for 2025’s film, Zegler and Gal Gadot shared their excitement for Disney’s latest adaptation, which hits theaters on March 21.
