Jamie Laing 'beyond proud' as he completes five ultra marathons for Comic Relief
The Made In Chelsea star has been running from London to Salford all week, and was triumphant as he crossed the finish line in time for the live Comic Relief show on Friday night

Jamie Laing made his way to the Comic Relief studio on Friday night, humorously remarking he "should have taken the train" instead of completing five ultra marathons this week. He expressed being "beyond proud" when Joel Dommett informed him that he had raised a whopping £2,053,835 this week.
The podcast host and ex-Made In Chelsea star, aged 36, crossed the finish line in Salford on Friday evening after embarking on the over 150-mile run on Monday morning. Jamie, who kicked off the run at London's Broadcasting House, was greeted by a throng of supporters on Friday as he concluded his Ultra Marathon Man challenge in the northern city where Red Nose Day is being filmed.
Jamie was greeted onstage by Joel Dommett and Alison HammondHe embraced his wife Sophie Habboo upon crossing the finish line. On his final day, radio presenter Greg James ran alongside him in a wedding dress after BBC Radio 1 listeners helped push Jamie's total past the £500,000 mark.
Speaking on the radio, Jamie shared immediately afterwards: "That was a wild ride everyone. It was intense at times, it was emotional. I've never cried more in my life. I can't explain to you the last kilometre was the most euphoric thing I've ever had," reports the Mirror.
"It's been a really hard day today, there were so many ups and downs. At one point I thought I was down-and-out, mentally I was broken. Something pulled me out and we had this last moment here."
Earlier on Friday, Jamie's completion of the five ultra marathons was uncertain due to injury. He was scheduled to be on ITV's Lorraine in the morning but had to cancel his appearance as he fell behind in the challenge.

He's been in real pain, very emotional and overwhelmed. He's done an amazing job and he's raised £1m so far. He'll be so pleased with that."
Supporters took to social media to cheer him on, with one fan posting "This has just been unbelievable. I don't think I've listened to the radio all week without crying. What a legend this man is!"
Another added their praise, saying: "It's always wonderful to hear a man being so forward with his emotions. Jamie - you have been honourable in so many ways in this challenge."
Despite the setbacks, Jamie triumphed, making it to the Comic Relief stage on Friday night, albeit with a limp from his marathon efforts.
"It was a long way, but it was an incredible journey. The people were amazing. The donations were amazing. You guys here are incredible," he expressed during the show. "The whole thing was just awesome in every single way. It was amazing. It was amazing."
