While most people were on their way home Monday afternoon, tragedy struck when a private jet owned by Mötley Crüe’s Vince Neil crashed at the Scottsdale Airport in Arizona. According to TMZ, the private plane accidentally crashed into another parked plane while at the airport. Sadly, the pilot died during the incident with the co-pilot and the other passengers surviving, which included Neil’s girlfriend Rain Andreani, and one of her friends. While a tragic accident, it appeared that Neil was not on the plane at the time. With an investigation opened, fans rallied around the singer and his family, sending love and support.
TMZ reports that Andreani and her friend were on the flight. The former is currently in the hospital with five broken ribs. Additionally, the women were traveling with dogs at the time—all of which survived.
With details still surfacing about the crash, Worrick Robinson, a representative of Neil released a statement on the Mötley Crüe Instagram page. “For reasons unknown at this time, the plane veered from the runway causing it to collide with another parked plane. On board Mr. Neil’s plane were two pilots and two passengers. Mr. Neil was not on the plane.
